OP - response received today from Noddle in respect of my hard credit / soft credit enquiry:

"At Noddle we don’t differentiate between soft and hard searches.

Just to reassure you, searches do not have any impact upon your credit rating. This is because the search organisation never shares with us the outcome of the search (whether an application for :beer:credit has been granted for example).".
