Well think it's time to abandon thread when it's gotten to the point that I'm being called a fraudster. Unfortunate it went toward distrust and name calling from the out. Appreciate some of your suggestions though Les, cheers.Debenhams CLEAR||AMEX CLEAR||Barclay Card CLEAR||Halifax CLEAR

It is my opinion, and probably that of other people on here (but not stated directly).
But I've given you much of the info you need as well. Follow that if you wish to pursue it, and maybe reflect on why people might think you aren't being honest here (it never helps when preconceptions seep in, and it would serve you well to address them before they form when dealing with a company/small claims).
Either way, good luck getting a resolution.0 -
I'm pretty certain this thread was a wind up from the off.
Sad how internet forums have declined in recent years....0 -

You got the advice you needed in post no 3. To enforce the refund, considering it seems theyre unwilling to do it of their own accord, you will need to take them to court. You can keep persuing them of course and they might eventually give in.
The reason they arent refunding you though is because what youre doing looks dodgy. What youre doing might or might not be, they dont know, they will try and protect themself. If youre a scammer youll probably give up soon enough, if not youll do what you need to do which is take them to court.0 -
I suggest that if things keep going missing and you don't receive the goods perhaps home delivery isn't for you.0

So why did you arrange delivery for a day you wouldn't be at home and why didn't you follow their instructions to contact them to let them know nobody would be at home? It does all sound very suspicious.
This question is especially addressed to all those who are suggesting that the OP has committed fraud
Anyone who trusts courier companies 100% who regularly subcontract to heaven knows who offers the cheapest price is naive
( Says the person who had DPD turn up today at our datacenter for a collection without any reference number and luckly was sent away by an alert member of their team)

Presumably the neighbour signed for the delivery?0

Deliveries I've had recently, the courier has tapped the hand held device and waited a few seconds for GPS to update and confirm his exact position before moving away from my front door . . .0

Just as a conclusion to this thread, after two weeks of back and forth I have been given my refund. Unfortunately, the company only cared to give me a refund after I had left them a bad review. I don't understand why they push it so far if they will give in at the end anyway, I suppose most will give up and assume there's nothing they can do.
For anyone else having issues with stubborn companies not adhering to their contracts, don't forget your rights, and keep pushing! Happy new yearDebenhams CLEAR||AMEX CLEAR||Barclay Card CLEAR||Halifax CLEAR
