After over 8 years, and my ex-landlord is now threatening to take to court.

Sounds like the LL has got previous tenants messed up? Even the most naive LL isn't going to try something after 8 years surely? Especially given the OP didn't have a dog and its been tenanted since.0

My ex-landlord has just phoned my mum demanding my number, apparently she is threatening to take me to court over a dog that I didn't have causing damage. This is absolutely ridiculous as I moved out of the place over 8 years ago.
Am I right in thinking that she is totally wrong, there have been tenants since I was there, and it's way past the time she can do anything. I'm even wondering how many others she's tried this with!!
The LL should be careful with what information is given to a 3rd party (your mum)
8 years is too late. (the limit is 6)0
