he doesn't understand the concept of planning
You are not understanding it's not yours anymore, if you loved it so much should have stayed. Sorry to be blunt, if I buy a new home I will make it mine to my own taste not anyone else.0 -

Good on him
I believe if everyone else has to abide by planning rules then not sure why it's good that he believes he is above rules and regs especially when planning laws are going to be broken
I believe the parish have decided to get a little reminder to him now which hopefully might be enough to stop him going rough shod with his dozer without consequence.
Yes it started with a tree but sort of veered off and with lightening speed he is opening up a new entrance onto a main road ... think this might be a wake up call for him, although after speaking to him after exchange he is very vocal in what he thinks about everyone and he can now do what he likes ... I'm afraid he will find out that is not strictly true and opening up another entrance onto a main highway without planning might be an expensive mistake .. here's hoping :j0 -
You’re too involved in this.0

If he breaking planning permission then fair enough but they seem upset about the tree when not breaking any law.0 -

I'm upset about the tree and fair enough none of my business, what the people living there and parish council are angry about as it wasn't done by a tree surgeon so no road closure application and no insurance... as the dozer is now in situ they are worried what else he might do.
Again none of my business just me venting0 -
The parish council need to make sure they are not speaking out of turn about a parishioner and just get on with doing their jobs. Otherwise it could be seen as defamation.0

Too late now, it's happened. The parish council should concentrate on matters it can do something about, not those it can't.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
