Have you considered that if you had managed to get it TPO'd, then your buyers (or any other prospective buyers) could have considered it to be a deal breaker?0

To be brutally honest I wish I had and they'd never bought it.. most properties I have lived in had TPO's
My new house I moved in has a couple with them on especially in a conservation area0 -
I can understand the disappointment, but they may have reasons beyond wanting to create access from a road.
TPOs can be removed, or permission granted to significantly change them. When I moved into my new house, (which is 3 doors down from a busyish road that the gardens are sideways to) there were some mature chestnut trees next to the road in a strip of land still owned by the developer. Between me offering and moving in the developer applied for permission to removed the trees & they were cut down shortly after I moved in. I can now hear the traffic a lot more which is very disappointing, but I can also see that the trees were cutting light from houses and overhanging one of the gardens so can understand it. I still have a HUGE chestnut tree I can see over the road though, if that goes I'll be livid! (Can't see any reason for it to though)0 -
neighbour has just txt me and the beech hedges surrounding the house are down:mad:
parish council are trying to get a meeting as he should have closed the road due to insurance issues and it appears he wants to put in a new access onto the main road..he doesn't understand the concept of planning0 -

Yes! Isn't it curious the attachments we form with our homes?"Everything comes to him who hustles while he waits" Thomas Edison
Following the Martin mantra "Earn more, have less debt, improve credit worthiness" :money:0 -

The land was a bit of a mess with lots of rubbish and old machinery parts all over the place so it's the land I had an emotional attachment to.
The guy seems to think he will get planning on the barn and was so !!!! sure about it... he hasn't met the parish council and the steering group who run the main council yet and now he's done this he might get to meet them very soon :j0 -
if what they are doing is illegal, then someone should report it through the proper channels. If it's not illegal it's no one's business. All sounds like a bit of a witch hunt to me0

Op, why don't you just get on with enjoying your new home?0

What he plans to do is illegal and looks like he is going to forge straight ahead... never thought he'd start without consulting the planning first
Blocking a water Course is going to cause all sorts of problems but he seems intent on doing it and blow what anyone thinks
None of my business, but my neighbour has been told to butt out so he's not making friends easily0
