Housebound as in I cannot leave the house on my own. My partner will be joining me in Brighton and looking after me. Hence the 'we'. Anyone else wanna have a pop?!

Housebound surely means unable to leave the house, now, if you had said I cannot leave the house unless someone is with me would have made more sense, but you didn't say that did you.
