    Hello everyone!

I feel like I haven't been on here for ages, even though it was only yesterday morning! Is it really only Tuesday?!! Well my plans to do the kitchen before I supplied in the avo went to pot, as I got begged to go into a school just after I typed my message, as no-one else was free, so ended up doing a whole day in the end. It was quite nice though as I got to teach Year 1 again which I haven't done since I was training, and I really like that age-group.

I supplied in a tough school all day today, and had my lovely Year 3/4s in the afternoon, but the class of Year 5/6 from hell this morning. They were so bad, that they didn't end up producing any work in the "lesson" (crowd control) and I had to keep them in at lunch for 10 minutes. I thought I was going to cry at one point I felt so deperate! The poor TA had lost her voice and so she could hardly speak let alone shout at them, and she said that she was seriously thinking about leaving because of the class behaviour and she only started in September! She said that it wasn't just cos I was a supply or inexperienced, as she said that the class teacher herself has walked out in tears before. Thank goodness I had a nice class in the avo. Called the supply agency and said that I never want to teach that particular class again after what had happened, and they completely understood.

Anyway, I'm now home with a sore throat, and I think that I've managed to hurt my own ear by shouting so much! Fingers and toes crossed that I have a better day tomorrow as I'm in another tough school with Year 4/5.

    Appologies for the rant!

  • Evening folks,
I dutifully spent a whole hour in the kitchen yesterday evening ( my usual half hour wouldn't have touched it) and came to post my list and of course no site. It's been a quick catch up on the thread this evening though which means more time to get on with today's list. I'm going to assume livingroom and hall too. It'll be a good vacc for floors and sofas and a cheating dust all round with the little brush bit of the vacc. There's a coffee table hotspot with my name on it too.
After that I may just flop. I had an early night last night (9.30) and still slept in this morning. I think from conversations with my mum I might be getting one of those gradual light alarm clock things, anyone ever used one? Do they help in the winter?

Hugs to those a bit down in the dumps, hurrahs to those making great progress and AnW'smum, hat's off to you for tiling!

  • Hello everyone!!

My excuse for not doing any housework again today is that the site was down & I couldn't get the list and not because I'm downright lazy and unmotivated :D . Obviously I could've just made my own list  but it didn't feel right somehow!!;)

So instead of housework, I done a little shopping (got absolutley soaked through with all the rain  ) and wrapped up some more xmas pressies and finished some more hampers. All the grown ups xmas pressies are nearly sorted, just got to think what I'm going to get for the younger ones now.

DS is off school tomorrow, so after our long lie in we are going to get our hair cut and he's agreed to help me with the chores - bless him. The intention tomorrow is to get my bum into gear and get this house cleaned but we will have to see what happens  .

    See you later peeps

I've ran in the back of a van so I'm not very happy this evening as you can imagine!

However, I'm still enjoying my new job so that's a plus.

Anyway so far today I've done:

    WM x 2
    TD x 2
    30 mins ironing

Nothing else but DH won't be home until tomorrow so I'll try and get some stuff done later when the kids are in bed!

Hope you have a better day tomorrow sexymouse.

    Hugs to all

  • Hi everyone.
I've done nothing this week so far and probably won't be doing much (here anyway) tomorrow either. I've got asthma clinic in morning then I'm off to my mums to do anything that needs doing at her house as she had a bunion operation today and i think she'll be off her feet for a bit. My Dad and brother won't do owt in the house so i said I'd go and help.

DS1 was sent home from school this morning with a migraine.

Oh no! I don't think I'll get much done this week at all, I've got a hospital appointment with DS2 on Thursday too. That'll be loads of waiting around, the eye clinic at my local hospital is famous for late running.

House is not bad, I'm keeping up with essentials and keeping everything ticking over.

I'm off up for a quiet bath now the monsters are in bed. then i think it won't be long till I'm in bed
    Nothing to declare ;)
  • Evening - just a quick catch up.

SM - don't worry about the bad class. I had a shocker today with my y11 class, supposedly doing a practice coursework experiment, which only involved dropping different size balls into sand and measuring the craters, and basically ended up with some of them having a sand fight. At 16 you would hope they know better, but some just can't help being wasters.

Julie- hope you are ok and the car isn't too wrecked.

sat doing some finger nail biting as we have put in an offer for the car, and will see what comes back. We've left FIL negotiating it for us, and will probably find out tomorrow how it has gone.

I have managed to hang up a load of washing, feed and bath Charlie, get him to bed and make a pan of stew since getting in from work. I've just got another load in the WM, and DH has been to the shop for some bread for me.

Will be spending yet another evening preparing for school tomorrow. I could be tempted by the supply situation myself, but i don't think i could cope not knowing what was happening each day, better the devils i know and all that.

Think i may also try and ring the insurance company tonight, as i will be visiting my mum and dad after work tomorrow as i haven't been for nearly two weeks again.

best go deal with something while i have any energy at all, and that isn't much.

    Michelle, x
