Thanks for popping by @sarahwithlove
I think the balance is split by 2 0% promo rates, 565 by Christmas and 1344 by December next year, definitely doable at a slower pace if we need to. I would like it gone asap but appreciate we also have a few bits that we could do with using the money for so nice not to have a crazy pressure to get it cleared.Wobbling my way out of debt one month at a time

Genuinely worried that I won't be able to sleep tonight through the excitement/nervousness of seeing a 0 balance for the loan.
As predicted the weekend was very spendy, no credit used but spent £££ on bits to improve the house.Wobbling my way out of debt one month at a time

You only realise the buy-in you have on these diaries when you haven't been on in a few days and you see '10 new' behind the bell icon...😂
I'm considering taking a head stagger and wiping a grand off my 0% CC with savings. Would mean I would clear it by Christmas. Only 10% of my end of year savings target to do it; CC's at 0% til next year but it's just annoying me being there. {*checks notes* i'm sounding like more of a DFW every day😂}
Lovely to see some small-holdings winning top tier prizes on premium bonds. I particularly liked the £25 (must be a previous win reinvested) winning £25k! Sadly i'm not in top tier

A little bit disappointed, the loan account still shows £1.69 but no interest payment taken yet today and the DD was more than my usual one (which they said it would be), I just wanted to see a big fat 0. Of course £1.69 is nothing compared to a £23k balance!
Confessions of a wobbly debt free journey- I didn't realise there was a bell icon for notifications (I have missed so much, I'm a bad DFW'er)
- I spent £52 on 6 new tops (just a few basic T-Shirts and a couple of jumpers for the Autumn) to put this in perspective, I have around 3/4 T shirts which I currently rotate when I'm not wearing work uniform or smart blouses.

Yeah, toying with that idea, part payment to keep it going down. I feel like a dfw fraud sometimes with a balance of £1400 & £1k on DW but help from family and cashing in of pension, ISAs etc means i've a £30k savings hole to plug to feel it's 'fixed'.
I'm squeezed a bit after £1500 savings. Want to put another £500 in but will leave current acct very stretched. DW had booked night away & bought sportswear at £100+ but she used gift cards mostly from last year. As I said I need to get to end of Sept, balance then stock take on it all.
Offer them the £1.69; careful theres no redemption penalty on it, haha!
Loan done; well done!Admin for Tilly Tidy to £1825 DFW challenge: 2021

That doesn't make you a fraud, you're a DFW and a savings pot in the making. I find this place keeps me fairly grounded and on the straight and narrow. My next goal will be to build up some savings, we've had the loan so long and been spending to the last penny a lot and therefore the savings are only small at the moment, want to build that up a bit so we've got a proper 'tits up' fund aka an emergency fund.
Definitely wait a little bit, see how the month pans out and go from there, good that you're wanting to get the balance down instead of up.
I'll wait and see how the balance looks tomorrow, then call the bank to discuss if they want to charge me an early redemption fee, I'll let the £1.69 run it's course I am not THAT desperate for the 0 balance. We're almost there and that's what matters.Wobbling my way out of debt one month at a time

It's like they knew I was questioning it, this is it, the moment I have dreamed of, been desperate for and certainly never thought would happen!!
Also another small confession, I definitely ordered some brownies by post to celebrate this milestone...Wobbling my way out of debt one month at a time

Honestly I only had some brownies last week I think (I won them) but this is a well deserved celebration, I can't tell you how pleased I am that this millstone we've been lugging around for 13 years (too many consolidations) is finally gone.Wobbling my way out of debt one month at a time
