  • Sorry things are rubbish, hope they pick up soon for you :(

E-readers are amazing things - I use mine equally as much as I pick up an actual book (particularly when travelling). So handy to have around, and definitely helps stop the 'scrolling...scrolling...scrolling' habit ;)
  • Thanks BlackCoffee, I was still undecided but just looked on Amazon and they have an offer on for Valentines Day, £20 off so I'm happy with that.
Now I need to decide what case to get for it, I hadn't even thought of this but Mr FTD said I should get a case too, to protect the screen.

  • Tonight's trip to the supermarket to pick up a prescription went spectacularly wrong, the prescription wasn't ready even though we requested it over a week ago!!
We did a top up shop for a couple of bits to tide us over until we go food shopping on Sunday, spent more than I thought we would so hopefully when we go back for the prescription tomorrow we won't be tempted to spend any more money.

So excited that the weekend is finally in sight, it's been a tough week!

  • It's finally the weekend :j

All quiet here and no big plans, so hopefully I won't be spending too much money (have to spend some as we've got food shopping to do)

We're also slowly but surely having a clear out, mainly dumping lots of stuff as it is just rubbish, we may find some things to sell along the way.

I've got some work to do as well at some point, just not enough hours in a week this week. Hopefully I'll get some time to read as well. :)

    Happy weekend all

  • Food Shopping complete, we've bought extra bread and milk in a bid to avoid top up shop spending.

We should have been having a NSD tomorrow but realised on our way back from shopping that we need to put fuel in the car :(
Ah well onwards and upwards I guess.

  • Today we've done some clearing out, seems we're slowly but surely working our way through the rooms and cupboards ridding ourselves of excess stuff that we just don't need, it genuinely feels good.

Only spend today was for fuel, hopeful for a NSD tomorrow.

In wobbly world, I teetered on the edge of putting a holiday on my 0% credit card (currently has nothing on it) I genuinely think I could pay it off by the end of the 0% but what if something else crops up that needs my money?! One day, I'm hopeful that I won't have to worry so much about this kind of thing and be able to enjoy life a bit more.

Here's to a new week ahead debt busting pals.

  • Well done on avoiding the holiday temptation! I know it’s rubbish to not be able to do these things, especially around this time of year when you need something to look forward to, but it’s real progress - your future self will thank you.

Thanks AK, we're currently saving for a holiday so hopefully we will have something to look forward to but without the worry of how we're going to pay for it!

    NSD yesterday :T

Sadly not an NSD today, a trip to the supermarket on an empty stomach to put in a prescription request was a costly mistake.

  • NSD for us today :T
We talked about getting a takeaway or popping out to grab some food for this evening but talked ourselves out of it, stuck to our meal plan and had an enjoyable meal at home.
