Yes house sold for full asking price within 3 days. Found a house to buy but found there were problems then had an offer on another house accepted. Bigger mortgage than I would like but gone for 5 years fixed with first direct. Got a decent reduction on the new house.

I’ve got a deposit on a new build should be ready Aug/Sept. Planing on putting the flat on the market end of March so just getting all the odd jobs caught up on the now.
  • Put my house up about 2 weeks ago and an offer has been accepted. Hoping it all goes through smoothly.

my house was offered on in September and we are buying their flat.
We kind of seen it as the "last chance saloon" before Brexit but we haven't even exchanged yet because their lease has to be extended and it's been a nightmare back and forward, back and forward.
Our mortgage offer ends 31st March.
If this all falls flat on its face we are staying put and see what prices will be like in a year....

I'm buying at the moment, not a huge amount out there where I want to be but got a decent discount on this one. Thankfully my mortgage company are being really slow, a week and a half just to arrange a survey which works for me as dont want to exchange until end of March really

I'm about one year 6 months off buying my first with a hopeful 20% deposit. That's a few years older than I'd like to be buying as I struggled a little graduating mid crash 2010.

Imagine I will need to hold on two more than planned to survive bonky interest rates, by which time I will be too old to have children (I don't want them in rental).

FTB and we have just had our offer accepted and about to get the mortgage application in at the weekend.

we are putting a 25% deposit down and like others looking to go for a 5 year fixed rate which should atleast give some stability whilst we get on our feet.

The whole brexit thing is a bit of a concern but ultimately, We've found the right house that we intend to stay in and we are paying a fair market value for it as things stand. We need to take the plunge and there are no certainty's with what could happen.

Our seller is looking to buy an empty property with the same EA (offer not accepted yet which is taking time) but there shouldn't be too much of an issue chain wise I hope.

Going to be an interesting few months.
  • We put an offer in last week close to asking price and today the mortgage application went in.

We are buying the forever home but I have to say I'm quite nervous around the Brexit issue..
We were involved in quite a disaster with housing in the 2008/2009/2010 crash..it's taken quite a while to get back to feeling confident enough (and tired of being tumbleweeds) to start it all again...

And then Brexit!!...it's just a big unknown, the financial crisis of 2009/10 nobody could have predicted the all encompassing disaster that proved to be so for me, I am so fearful of that having lived through it..almost PTSD really..

I am not out to make money just have a family home. I've checked and checked everything twice but if the prev crash taught me anything it this..

Put our house on the market in October and completed on the sale in December (we were in the south-east). Now renting oop north and will be looking to buy this year. Life goes on. :)

Though after owning for 15 years+, I am quite loving the lack of responsibility that comes with renting. Anything goes wrong with the house and we just phone the letting agency! So maybe we won't hurry to buy. ;)

Is VERY odd having our house equity sat in the bank.

Should also feel very reassuring, as you can access it whenever you want, without having to wait for pesky viewers/buyers to show up :)
