Only if they had identical houses and were relying on the higher valuation for the short period it was up. Realistically unless they are re-mortgaging or moving they don't care about the house price anyway and that 75-100k blip was nothing but a blip.0 -
The perma prop bulls are panicking
I don’t think there are any perma prop bulls, but milli9ns are ver6 concerned about brexit.
Property is one aspect, food and medicines being more immediate.
There are a lot more things to worry about higher up the priorirty list than property if we leave without a deal.
Panicking is the wrong word.
Those with sensible financial plans such as asset diversification and global diversification Have already spread their risks.
Concerned for the less fortunate/well off, definitely.0 -

We are considering moving to another part of the country in the future. What's noticable from watching a particular locality. Is that property sells relatively quickly or it sticks. Much of the property that sticks has only be been reduced slightly in price and/or has location "issues". People do appear to have spent money on property to make their dream homes that will never be recovered.0 -

You say that as though it's a bad thing?
The vast majority of people buy a property as a home, not an investment, something the HPC zealots seem unable to get their heads around.Every generation blames the one before...

I expect he needed a bigger house for the seven wivesRetired 1st July 2021.
This is not investment advice.
Your money may go "down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... I got all tricked up and came up to this thing, lookin' so fire hot, a twenty out of ten..."0 -
The perma prop bulls are panicking
Assuming that you class me as a 'perma prop bull' (which you would almost certainly do, but I'm not), in what way am I panicking?Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

The fools obviously thought that being happy in life was more important than making a few extra quid.
I do know what you mean though, but there are usually two sides to every tale.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

We've seen that here too. Some properties are gone within the week (and we've missed some), whilst others are there for months. Usually the ones that have been heavily modified or in need of work.0
