Money Moral Dilemma: Should our friends pay for part of our holiday?

    If you were my friends and asked for a financial contribution from me, the chances are that you would no longer be my friends after that !!
    Thanks to MSE I cleared £37k of debt in five years and I was lucky enough to meet Martin to thank him personally.

    I think you should decide if you want to still go on holiday with them, at that time, or if you really can't afford to. You should NOT ask them to pay the difference.



    You should either go without them at a time you can afford, or else you go with them and suck up the higher prices.


    No way should they pay the difference, unless you explain why you are pulling out and they OFFER. BUT this should not be presented as a pleas for financial help at all.
  • No brainer. If you decide you want this holiday you each pay for your part of it.
