washer dryer - not happy

Tumble Dryers don’t really need to complicated or expensive, though. They used to be very simple - rotating drum, fan, heater. Some of the developments may justify their existance, but things like predictive countdown timers and heat pumps aren’t essential.0

Have always been shocked at how cheap Beko (and others) are.
Looking at a Beko tumble dryer and it’s £300. Take off the VAT, the retailers profit margin, costs of getting it to the retailer, the cost of manufacturing, overheads etc and how much is left for the parts?
Interestingly it’s running cost are 3.5x my Miele and is noticeably louder.
Comparing like for like Miele and Beko models for load 7kg and spec it’ll take 360 years to make a saving over the cost of a Beko and 13 years to make a saving if you buy the Miele heat pump model and Miele’s heat pump models are giving customers lots of both this last while0
