Apologies if a bit short. No criticism directed at anyone here intentionally, sorry if looks that way, gsmlnx..
My comment was directed at Smarty, sorry if not clear.
Not at all happy with any company that "hides" info. By comparison, my isp publishes an 0800 number on their websiteand has answered phone calls and emails within 1 minute and 1hour respectively at latest - they set high standards in all dealings.0 -
@filka
Thank you.
It is just that recently there have been some people posting on this site in a less than friendly way (to be polite about it).
Which only serves to make people hesitant to ask for or offer help and thereby reduce its effectiveness.0 -

Try finding any phone number, let alone 0800, say, at https://www.giffgaff.com/boiler-plate/contact

OP, even if Smarty did use DD's, then your monthly cashback using S123 would amount to the grand total of 18p, assuming that you are on their cheapest plan at £6.25pm and getting 3% back..
You'd save more than that by picking the cheapest PAYG or SIM only provider, regardless of cashback.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
They share an office address though (with hutchinson & 3 too) and are difficult to call.
You're wrong, iD are part of the Dixons Carphone group they rent usage of the 3 network, which AFAIAA is their only connection. Smarty's business model is to offer online support only, like many other companies.0 -

Pretty crowded office and busy people no doubt.0 -
@macman
45p if £15/month, then prob unused data (7GB) refund... £8.75.
If not a large free lunch, 45p is a large cuppa where I work, a diet lunch.0 -
Why bother making the calculations? There are no DDs to obtain cashback from?
You're confused, ID Communications is NOT the same company as iD Mobile. (co number 09304672)0 -
