I cannot a find phone number or email adress for this company. My bank cannot give cashback because they cannot find smarty on the direct debit databae or their Direct Debit OIN (Originators Indentification Number). I only give money to companies that are open about contacting them. Do they want it? Do they want to look sneaky/dishonest?

I have done that. You are as ellusive as ID mobile network. Is it because you are part of "3" and share the same office in Maidenhead? I have been a customer of both 3 and ID in the past. They were difficult to contact and leave, not very professional. So is your answer about direct debit / banking details going to be "3" or Hutchinson? I won't ask for a SIM until my bank can find you.

"You" isn't the company you're moaning about. Apart from that, what on earth does "give cashback" mean??

    I'm not "them" either, fortunately.

OP, you are coming over as paranoid. iD and 3 are separate companies. You have already been given explicit details of how to ask your question of Smarty. And as it's essentially a PAYG service it couldn't be easier to leave.

Your bank won't find them on the direct debit database as they don't use direct debits, rather recurring charges (CPA) on your debit cards.

Smarty is just a trading name of Hutchison 3G UK (Three UK).
    1.1 When we say:
    (a) ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’, we mean Hutchison 3G UK Limited, trading as SMARTY

The bank gives cashback at the rate of 3% on all direct debits for the following: mobiles, home phones, TV, and broadband. Called Santander 123 lite account. Worked well for other techy stuff. I get caskback of £5 to £10 per month. Pity if Smarty work differently. Need to re-compare.

As has been said, Smarty is just a PAYG brand of Three, you can’t have a direct debit with them.

I have zero links to smarty or 3 or anyone else in the telecoms business.
99 times out of a 100, people miss the obvious web page links so I thought out of the kindness of my heart that I would highlight it for it.
This is a forum for consumers to help each other out and that was what I was doing.
If you want to get any help here, I would suggest you do not treat people like rubbish.
    Have some manners.

ID and Smarty are separate. They share an office address though (with hutchinson & 3 too) and are difficult to call. I liked the idea of getting refund if small ammount of data used, suits me.

    Thanks all for replies.

Will update here if they reply to the webchat question.

    Reply about what?

You already know that it's just a trading name and that it wasn't a secret.

They don't take money by DDs, so you won't get any cashback.
