I was just wondering if any of you have actually won through these type of competitions by entering online?
There are so many prizes through this however despite entering for nearly two years I have won nothing. Just wondering if there is more chance of winning if I text the answers through rather than the free entry.

I’ve been entering Take a Break comps since 1990. Initially by post then text and then online. I’ve never won a single thing. Still, it’s free online so I will keep going because you never know.0

I've entered pretty much every one in the 10ish years I've been comping. I've had a couple of cash wins from Take-A-Break. They're announced in a letter to you and enclose a cheque.
I've only ever used the free entry route with answers from here.
I'm guessing there's a huge entry field as posts on here get a lot of viewings, plus many of those who buy the magazine will do the competitions. This narrows the odds considerably, but it's free to enter, so keep going. All entry methods have an equal chance of winning (for other magazines as well).
Although there are quite a few prizes it is likely there are hundreds of thousands of entries each week so your chances of winning are still slim. (For the 1st half of 2018 TAB circulation was over 470,000 a week - well down on its heyday but still almost twice as many as second place at 240,000)
With one of the other magazines I know of one person who had been entering for years by post and another who started to enter by web and within months won £1,000 and 2 months later another £100.0 -
I always enter these using free entry online. Won £250 from Take a Break a couple of years ago, then another £50 last summer.
and won £25 from Love It magazine a couple months back. Been comping for over 7 years and these are some of the very best wins I've ever had.0 -
I only enter magazine comps through this forum, I've won several prizes in the last 3 years (but I can't remember which magazines) - cash, DVDs, an 'escape room' experience with B&B. It's free, so enter and forget!I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Competition Time, Site Feedback and Marriage, Relationships and Families boards. Like many other posters on here, I have been entering all the weekly puzzles for many years, and to date I've had just one win, £100 from That's Life.... but as the PP says above, they get many thousands of entries each week so your chances are still slim! But just keep entering... it takes a couple of minutes at most, so nothing to lose!0 -
I've been entering all these for the past 10 years or so. I won £100 a few years ago and then last April I had a letter to say I'd won £3000 from That's Life. I've only ever entered online so definitely worth it:)0

For years I too used to buy the magazine and did every comp, but never won a thing. Then I started doing the competitions listed by the kind people on here, and I won a £10 cheque from one of the TAB puzzle mags, after about 1 year of entering the online ones. So that's given me more hope...! Thanks again to all who post.0
