Husband’s ex wife on my credit score?

Hi,
Can anyone help me. I separated from my husband 2 years ago (we didn’t have any joint accounts or mortgage etc but he does show as an associate on my credit file) I am looking into getting a mortgage so checked my credit file today and when looking through my footprint of applications and credit searches I saw my husband’s ex wife’s name. She shows up 4 times on my report in March 2018 as audits from a bank and Experian credit matcher. I have never lived in a house that she has, my husband moved in with me so I never lived anywhere he had before we met either. Is there any reason that someone else would show up on your credit searches? He doesn’t appear in any of my searches, audits or enquiries so I don’t understand why she would. I do not know her and have only met the woman briefly once. They divorced in 2010/11 yet she is showing up in my credit file in 2018. The searches are at my current home and the one I lived in previously. I don’t think she would have even known either address. Should I be concerned or is this a normal practice for her credit search to show up on my file as we were both married to the same person? I know that they are only audits so only show to me and the person making the application but I am unsure as to why it is there? Is there any chance that he could have taken anything out in her name at this address? It’s unlikely but I can’t think of any reasons for her to show on my report!
Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks 😊

You won’t see their credit.
Are you looking at the financial associations?0 -
No, it is actually on my list of credit searches. I was looking through to see how many applications I have made in the last 12 months. There are all the ones I have applied for eg mobile phone, a Ho loan and in the same list is 4 searches on her name. It shows the bank that made the search and also Experian credit matcher as a searcher. There are 2 from each company, one at my present address and one at my previous address. Her name comes up as the person they were searching but it shows on my file. I then checked the associations and he is linked to my account but she isn’t. I can’t work out why her name would appear on my searches?
Thanks for your reply 😊0 -
If you look in the section where it says about other names you are / have been known by, is she listed there? It strikes me that somehow they think you are the same person.0

No, she isn’t listed there, only appears in my credit application searches. Maybe that is the confusion.

I would contact Experian - something odd there.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pensions, Annuities & Retirement Planning, Loans

If you never had any joint products with your ex - why is he even on your credit files in the first place? That is a major red flag right there.
Are you sure he never took out a joint loan or anything in your name secretly?
Have you checked all 3 of your files to see if they are all showing the same incorrect data?
