Dad's not big on lighting so I turned on the main light and got my brother to stand under it. The whole of one side of his face was droopy, the reason for the discomfort and blurred Vision was he could not blink fully and his eye was drying out. As my brother has a full beard the face droop was not apparent unless you looked really closely. Dad panicked about a stroke, whilst I calmly used his home phone to call 111. We got him seen by the out of hours Dr who diagnosed shingles in his ear and throat that had spread to his facial nerve.
If he had a drop to one side of his face you really should have called 999 in case it really was a stroke. 111 should have sent an ambulance too!0 -

BP only affects the face.
If the limbs on the affected side are working, it's probably not a stroke.
But as the advert says "act FAST'.0 -

The advice is that if someone has any one of the symptoms to call 999 straightaway. The limb problems can start later, when my granddad had a small stroke his arms weren’t affected at all. Getting him to hospital fast and starting him on the right tablets may well have saved him from having a bigger stroke.
Just not worth the risk, even if it’s a small risk.0 -

Why would you think you're not?
Are you trying to be argumentative?
I thought my post intimated that I agreed with your point that it's not worth the risk.
I regret that you seem to have taken it in a way it wasn't intended.
I was reiterating the FAST message.0 -
