e2save cashback process
Just signed up for a 12mth contract with e2save and I'm sorting out all the paperwork, envelopes, forms in advance.
I'm a bit stuck on what to send and when!
I received a confirmation email regarding the process so I'm assuming this is the correct procedure:
I ordered the phone on the 8/11/07 so by my calculations I need to send in the bill around 8/3/08, 8/5/08, 8/7/08, 8/9/08 and finally 8/11/08 each within 30days of the bill date
Can someone confirm that is correct because by using the following link http://www.e2save.com/helpdesk/#
I need to send in the April 2008, June 2008, August 2008 and October 2008.
Which is only 4 claims??
What is correct? I'm assuming it's the first lot as that's what my confirmation email says??
Also where should i send the cashback to? The confirmation email says to send it to:
Cashback Claims, PO BOX 337, Crewe, CW2 8WE
yet on my cashbackclaim forms received with the phone it says to send it to:
e2Save Cashback Claims, PO BOX 462, Crewe, CW1 9DY
Again I'm assuming it's the first one???
I also need to check I don't send in the full 4months bill just the fourth one itself?? Although I do need to send in a copy of the first bill as I ported my number
Finally what is the transaction number I need to put on the claim forms? As I've got a fair few numbers on the original receipt and an online order ID
Hope you can clarify a few "simple" but maybe overlooked queries for me.
Thanks in advance

I can guarantee no one is going to read that whole post.
Have you read the thread on E2save?Well life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.0 -
I did - although there's not much new in it and I must confess I skipped the copied t&c since I've seen all the various versions lots of times before and don't care to go round in circles!
I agree that you have to read the thread(S) on E2Save and also on OSPS and Onestopphoneshop among others. You may also care to read what you SHOULD have done before signing up and admire some of the mess this company is now in by reading:-
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=558661&page=1
When you've done all the research you should have done before you purchased perhaps we can narrow your questions down to a reasonable size and stick with those not answered elsewhere!
I would also recommend you download the legal t&c you signed up for too - which are different. After all, this IS a so-called price-match deal although you haven't mentioned that!0 -
just read through the links, very informative.
So if I stick to the T's and C's confirmed then I'll be okay.
Can someone just clarify the dates are correct for me then?
Cheers0 -
There is NO WAY you could have read all the links on this in 15 minutes! Would take a few hours more like! WHICH t&c would you like an answer for? It doesn't take a great deal of thinking to see that the basis of the dates you are suggesting are not likely to be possible in the way you imagine! I'll bet you have no idea what your statement date is yet, for starters!?
I will take something back though; these t&c are yet ANOTHER version which they keep tinkering with in (presumably) an attempt to sort out the mess they've created by not writing them themselves in the first place (see the threads!). I find them entirely amusing now; they actually contradict themselves completely! I'd love to meet the person who is trying to rewrite these things - they are now quite laughable and anyone needing to sue should have an even easier task, depending on the reason!0 -
I read the ones on e2save the other day before I signed up and the link you posted is only 2 pages long so not hard to read in 15mins
and why do I need to know what dates the statements are etc.??
it clearly states in the T's and C's to use the bill around the date of ordering. So for me the bill around the 8th of each month then I have 30days from that date to send it in0 -
Maybe you should read the t&c you posted more carefully, since they are so "clear"! And if you don't see why you need your statement date you're taking a huge leap of faith!
I'll give you a clue, since the post on the thread I gave you relating to this clearly didn't hit the mark either:-
"(This bill must be no older than 28 days when we receive it"
Now, explain how THAT means you have "30 days from that date to send it in"! THAT is just ONE obvious and SIMPLE discrepancy.0 -
Bit obvious really isn't it....
30 days to submit the claim from the connection date, and the bill must be not be older than 28 days old.
So the 2 days are lost from a day's postage to receive the bill and a day's postage to send it off. Obviously it would be impossible to send it with 0 days.
So 28days is still plenty of time, even if the bill doesn't arrive the very next day after the bill date.
I just want to clarify the dates I've calculated????? Not get into the morals of them trying to trick you etc. etc.
"My" T's and C's are written are printed off and sat right infront of me, any need to sue and it's there in black and white??
I don't understand why you're making it sound so difficult? Same as in the thread I originally set up in choosing a tariff, I haven't had any problems with the mobile outlet and their t's and c's are virtually the same

Since it's so "obvious", no doubt you'll be able to reconcile this from what's "sat right in front" of you too then:-
Please send each claim by RECORDED DELIVERY within 1 month of the date of each of your network airtime bills.
It isn't difficult; as long as you understand what they are doing and what the t&c actually say. Have you perchance downloaded (for example) the FULL so-called price-match t&c, or just looking at the summary you copied above? I chose the 2 day contradiction as one example only; it is by far one of the least important but it IS significant. I have to admit I'm impressed that you didn't have any problems with The Mobile Outlet though! However, the t&c are significantly different, just as the way cpw are using them is totally different to how the company they copied them from actually uses them. The chances are at least 50% that you won't have any problems.0 -
I used recorded delivery when dealing with TMO, and yes I've kept copies of everything I've ever sent them. That's what I do with most things I send off be it application forms for various things etc.
And yes I've actually got the full so-called price match t&c, I have them in a pdf document and they also came supplied with the handset and welcome pack:
Cash Back ClaimsCash back claims are available to customers by redemption that subscribe to a brand new 12, 18, or 24 month service agreement where all payments are up to date and paid in full. Cash backs are claimed by sending us the original claim form, correctly completed. We send this to you by email when you
purchase your handset. Along with the claim form, send us the original airtime bill showing your name, address, mobile number and tariff. You receive this by post from your network operator. We do not accept copies or online bills. We only accept one claim per envelope. Your name, address, mobile number
and tariff must be shown on the bill, we will not authorise any claim where this information is missing or the bill has money outstanding. We therefore recommend that you pay your bills on time and do not cancel or take a summary itemised bill from the network. If it is your first claim and you have ported
your number in from a previous supplier you must also send your first bill showing the original mobile number we supplied to you.Redemption Procedure - check below
£10 to £100 claimsCash backs are claimed in two equal instalments.Instalment 1: - Send us the claim form and original monthly bill showing your name, address, mobile number and tariff you are connected on, that arrives showing you have been connected for 4 months. i.e.

so it's only the 28days that's different. But if I'm going to send it the day I receive the bill it's going to be well within 10days anyway, which still gives me a further 18days or so to play about with.0 -
No, that's just one discrepancy as I said! The two sets you have now posted are totally contradictory - apart from the contradictions within each set individually. As for the last statement - does it? You don't know when your bill date is yet (you have merely assumed that!), 120 days isn't the calendar anniversary of the connection either (another "minor detail") and the full t&c ARE quite different to the interpretation that they (and you) are placing on them. As you say, you can always sue!0
