It's cognative dissonance - they'll say they are willing to endure anything because of Brexit because they don't believe any of it can happen because they've been told it won't. They still believe (because they want to, not because of any facts) that it's all going to be sunny uplands.
The chap who is willing to die due to insulin shortages will be purple with rage when he actually encounters a shortage.

More cognative dissonance. They can ignore the fact he's a habitual liar and all round terrible person because he's promising to deliver Brexit, and delivering Brexit is all that matters. They won't even consider the possibility that he's lying about delivering Brexit too, because it suits them to believe it.
Again, once reality hits they'll be outraged anew.

The Tories biggest concern isn't the fallout from failing to deliver Brexit, it's the fallout from delivering it and witnessing reality slap 17,400,000 patriots around the head.

It's a bit like when the IFA asks you about your attitude to risk.

It's easy to be brave when you are talking about theoretical or potential losses.
Things change when you actually start haemorrhaging money.

    That's easy; choice.

We can choose where to buy and sell without being dictated-to; we can prioritise what is best for our own country; we can distance ourselves from an increasingly federalist union; we can choose who to allow entry to our country and who to refuse; those reasons alone make "the likely cost" very worthwhile indeed.
What country.....do you mean the shrinking union or just England? Our choice as you put it is not as easy as you think, the easiest trade is always with your neighbour and immigration is best controlled by agreements with your neighbours! I post above why we won't get a lucrative trade deal with the US anytime soon. What great trade deals are in the pipeline to replace the ones we already have? We are not being dictated to ....we are in a civilised club of like minded countries, with common interests and values. How does leaving the EU allow us to control our immigration any better?

Capitulation. Bozo will write to EU asking for Article 50 extension.

Game on for a general election now. With Bozo's credentials as the man who didn't get Brexit done I imagine it'll be fought by Tory leader number 4 now. Who have they got left?

He will write the letter but he can say privately and publically what he wants e.g. he can say that there is no purpose to the delay as there is no deal that can be done that satisfies both EU and parliament.

Hopefully the EU will still agree to an extension but I think he will be going along with the letter and not the spirit of it.

He might be lying. He got caught with his pants on fire over the suspension of parliament and the consequences were zero.

Loving the suspense of what Boris will or won't do, loads of panties getting in a twist.

Yes we are getting Brexit done

We’re not. It’s stalled again. I said it before on another thread - turkey has been about to join the EU since 1979, we’re a kind of anti turkey, about to leave, year after year.

The EU might even offer an extension.

Boris just tweeted New deal or no deal - but no delay. #GetBrexitDone #LeaveOct31

    Looks like nothing has changed.
