Sorry to spoil your 'Gotcha' moment but as you've unwittingly flagged up, my personal grievance is with the politicians who've created what I feel in an inequitable situation between the constituent nations of the UK, your issue seems to be an anger induced hatred of some of your fellow Brits merely because they had the temerity to vote in a way that was at odds with your view on the UK's continued EU membership.

Anger induced hatred?? Go on, let's have a example then..... There's maybe a reason that you are seeing things that aren't there. Some kind of paranoia perhaps?

And what makes you think I was going for a "Gotcha moment"?

If I wanted to do that, I would have pointed out that instead of describing your beloved Brexit as a marvellous opportunity for the country, you chose to refer to it as something to be "inflicted" on a group of your fellow countrymen in much the same way as a punishment.

Or I could have pointed out that the reason for your infliction was down to a domestic policy of out own UK Government & absolutely nothing to do with the EU.

    But I didn't.....

Well, I'm guessing when you referred to a not insignificantly small number of your fellow Brits as thick racist low-lifes it wasn't meant as a term of endearment. Its not paranoia on my part to confront you with your own words surely?

I seem to recall my comments on my motivations for voting Leave was in part down to my personal grievance on the unfair funding of Scotland in comparison to England. The emphasis being on the words 'in part'.

I have been touting Brexit as such but some on here consider that I am merely an ignorant racist xenophobe.

All I know at the moment is that untold damage is being done due to our ineffective politicians.

Sack the lot and let's start again.

BTW remainers, thoughts on Eurovision? Do you think the low vote is an indication of the cliff edge to destruction that we now face?

We were last in 2003, 2008 and 2010 too.
No doubt though some remainers will still try to suggest that this year's poor showing is the result of Brexit and not that it was at best a mediocre effort again.
Honestly I'm not sure why we bother because nobody I know pays attention to it and besides, on a commercial basis the UK is acknowledged as a world-leader where music is concerned.

Talking of which the UK came top in the "Soft Power Index" again in 2018, ahead of France Germany and the USA.
That's not bad for a small island community that so many remainers are determined to write off as insignificant and lacking in influence.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

That can also be used to figure out how to vote against remaining. I thought these remainers were supposed to be super intelligent.

Maybe the clue for all you leavers is the name of the main pro leaving party. Just a thought. Mind you given the feeling that having a second vote is undemocratic perhaps you should just not bother.

"We've conducted the largest pre-election poll in England, Wales & Scotland."

All of this for each of 11 regions by asking 9260 people!

    Relevant?

    Accurate?

To be fair how accurate is any single poll? You usually need a poll of polls to get meaningful data.

We, If I recall correctly, when I asked you if you denied that thick racist low-lifes existed, you went quiet.

From the above remark, it's obvious that this is indeed your view. I still say that they are out there.

You're not going to try to twist my words into me saying that all Leavers fall into that category & use that as a basis for accusing me of "Anger induced hatred are you?

In the dozens (hundreds?) of posts I've made on the subject, is that the best you can do?

The second bit is just back-pedalling. You stated that you voted to Leave to "Inflict Brexit" on the Scots & then attributed that to a UK tax policy in which the EU has no part & no interest.

What was the expression you used earlier? Oh Yes, "Own it fella if thats whats you believe."
