You are not going to get the help you asked for here apparently, so I suggest you and your fellow "prisoners " contact a solicitor, sometimes you get a free consultation, and depending on their advice escalate this up to the police.

Virgin Money? My nearest one also does hot chocolate and biscuits... and don't forget about the free WiFi. :)

HSBC. They've done a lovely job of retaining the old "bank" architecture and fittings whilst combining it with the modern "open plan" style bank.

Nice staff too. Being locked in might afford the opportunity to have a nice coffee and chat with them.

I do look forward to the film, it will rank with the 33 chillian miners and the Thai football team rescue

It is very rare that a thread like this is started by someone who has been around the forum for such a long time. Thank goodness I made it to the end before I finished my popcorn.

You can't compare those event. Being locked in a bank for four minutes in the warm with comfy seats and coffee is several magnitudes worse....

You might want to think further on the question.

Do bank doors lock when a bank is being robbed and members of the public are inside?
Can you demonstrate this to us with a reference linking to this 'fact'?

Having actually witnessed a bank robbery I can answer this. Yes, they do lock the doors with customers still inside.
