Delivery has arrived so I no longer had an excuse not to hoover (can't hear doorbell with hoover on) so I've done it, All of downstairs hoovered and our bathroom. Only a quick run round with the rechargeable but trying to do it regularly, we have hard floors so it keeps the dust to a minimum if I hoover.
Early lunch eaten as I'm off to work soon and want time to digest. 2nd load in WM and 1st load dry so I'l go and iron, fold and put it away before I go out. Might even try and put some of the sofa covers into wash (they've been waiting in the bath since July). But first a coffee.0 -

I've been doing a lot of decluttering recently -- I've been focusing on digital files in general. I even put as my laptop background a picture that has the quote "Decluttering is the intentional promotion of what we value most - and the removal of anything that distracts from it."
I've also been trying to be more mindful in general. Which I think will help, not only with this, but with many things. Admittedly I'm still struggling with something in particular, which is I really like a guy and I haven't seen him in over a month, it's long distance anyway, and I have no idea how he feels, et al. ~sigh~. I'm not trying to be better for him (although he does inspire me) but I really would like that to be another outcome of things getting better for me.
I suppose that's another thing, though, I'm trying to keep busy and distract myself. It doesn't stop me thinking about him, but it makes me realise that he's not all that matters to me.
I've got some shopping to do later; I know it may not be totally cheap, but I'm going to try and spend less money where I can.0 -
kitchen AND bathroom both sparkly. Towels/cloths in WM.

Hi all x
Still struggling with the bug but I've forced myself to wash up, empty and clean the double cupboard under the sink, tidy up the food press, empty the winterdykes and make my bed. 10 jars of baby food bagged and sat aside to go to the food bank. I'm absolutely shattered now, it's ridiculous feeling like this but I'll need to get back to work as I don't get paid.I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged0 -
*Healing vibes* for Ionafan and FFP. Bucket of sticks by the back door for everyone's BD, because there's a lot of it about at the moment.
House looks reasonable and I've managed to sort two drawers that needed doing, as per my own lists. Finished Kelpie's final vet claim and dropped off another box of stuff that needed to be out of the house. Twirling laundry in the TD at the moment because it's been overcast and drizzling all day. Foodwise, we've been given a recipe for Shakshuka by the lodger who left on the weekend, and we've got all of the ingredients because she left them behind, so I'm going to make that tonight.Better is good enough.0 -
Nasty little Frog duly eaten - I've cleaned out the [STRIKE]grot hole[/STRIKE] cupboard under the sink. It all started on Saturday when I did the bathroom, and wanted some mould buster for the bit where the window meets the tiles. And couldn't find it. I knew we had some, but couldn't remember what colour container it was in, and hence couldn't lay hands on it.
Anyways, it's all lovely and tidy - and dewebbed - in there now, an empty starch container (why was it even there??) has been ditched; two less-than-half bottles of lock cylinder lubricant have been amalgamated into one; some weird washing stuff I'll never use has been ditched; and I know where everything is in there now. (Mr Wolf will muck it up at his own peril).
I'm another who has been struggling badly with anxiety of late - that horrible feeling like your heart is going to pound it's way right out of your chest. Awful! And I'm not sleeping - doesn't matter if I go to bed at 22:00 or 02:00, I lie there til gone 04:00 with everything whizzing round and round in my brain. Bleurgh!
Still - I did three meet'n'greet visits last week (a big source of major anxiety in themselves) and every single one has resulted in a booking. :TIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Well done LW :T:T
It’s been a pretty productive day:
Downstairs floors swept through
Ditto dusted and tidied
Cooker hood taken apart, bits soaked and cleaned
Oven shelves soaked and scrubbed
2 hours digging at the allotment and spinach picked for dinner tomorrow
Made myself drive to small town to get shoes in the sale of the specialist shoe shop there. Too successful as I came out with 3 pairs. Fantastic bargain but spend that I didn’t quite intend.
Mending done
Clothes that DD has asked for for her birthday ordered
Odd bits of outstanding admin done.
On the down side I think that I am going to have to get the Valli mantra framed and hung in various rooms. Putting away is a skill that is still to be perfected in this household.0
