  • Hi all x

I'm in as best as I can be. Thanks to Natty and Valli for the lists xx

Never made work today as I have the bug that's been doing the rounds. I feel awful. Stuck a load in the WM and DD hung or flung I should say on the winterdyke. That's been it.

Going to try a plate of HM soup now see if it stays down.

Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces - Done
Clean cupboard door fronts and the kick boards - Done
Clean hob top and outside of oven - Done
Wipe over little appliances, wipe under them before putting them back - Done
    Clean cooker hood - Done
Wipe window sills, clean any marks off windows if required - Done

    Bathroom - Still to do!
    Clean toilet
    De-limescale sink and shower screen
    Clean bath
Wipe windowsill and wash toothbrush holder
    Hoover carpet
    Clean window and mirror

Well I did pretty well today, I did bits not on list like wipe over fridge, wash kitchen curtains, extra towel wash, painting in bathroom. Off swimming in morning tomorrow with DS, but when I get home will try to do bathroom, and finish the de-cluttering of downstairs. Also damp patch in corner of bedroom ceiling I really want to treat with the mound spray. It definitely helps having a list and set jobs, I feel I have achieved things ticking them off. Radio 2 helps as well 😂

    Morning all.
I missed DH’s alarm completely this morning. Luckily mine goes off 10 minutes later.
WM is now running as last night’s towels have dried. I’m just going to down my porridge in between screeching at DD to get out of bed then it will be on with the lists. I have lots of small jobs to do as well - button sewing on and the like - which I need to get done. I have a habit of letting these jobs build until they stress me. The only person I am sure who can get stressed by buttons.
Have a good day everyone. Sticks are in the jar by the door x
  • Do you know this is the only place I can talk about my anxiety honestly and feel that people really understand? It was a good day at work, and I made it to my gym class, but I had two heart thumping, sweaty, I am going to die in a minute, anxious moments. One queuing in the bank and one going through some work with my assistant. Gritted my teeth and carried on. It will pass

Thanks all, group hugs all round, we made it through Monday x

Morning lovey, have you been to the GP? My anxiety was through the roof just before Christmas, I went to see him as I could not cope with the constant sense of dread and palpitations. I started getting panicky at work, no good when in front of a class of Year 9s! He prescribed me something to take when I get those feelings, PM me if you want and I'll give you the name, it really really helps xx

Off to work in a mo, spoke to DH last night he was in the pub, working away seems like a jolly! Have good day xx

Good morning ladies - another day begins...
Do you know this is the only place I can talk about my anxiety honestly and feel that people really understand?

Maybe it's because we all have our own insecurities and worries - I know I do! Glad you feel we are a safe place x

Can't remember what I accomplished yesterday but the kitchen is clean and tidy and my ironing pile is vastly reduced, so perhaps a little flying...

Got a new day boarder today - a huge, friendly Golden Labrador. If today works out, he will be with me every Tuesday and Friday :T

And kjgkgj - I'm more of a Mellow Magic kinda girl...

At home this morning waiting for a delivery so hope to get some things done. So far:
    Up, showered & dressed
    Breakfast eaten
    WM on
    1 load folded & away
Fire topped up with pellets & put on
Windows in bedroom & bathroom open

Off upstairs to close windows, strip bed and collect all the rubbish from other bathroom.

    Morning all.

My cold is streaming and I'm not a happy bunny. Would really like to go back to bed, but I have to take DH to SW and then go to a funeral at 11.00, and then of course Rosie will need a walk this afternoon - I shall take her the shorter route to the Covert where I can amble along while she exercises herself by running in all directions after the squirrels.

Yesterday evening I did a lot of paperwork and created more piles on and around my desk; today I must try to demolish them. The house is reasonably clean and tidy. I haven't got the energy today to do more than the absolute minimum. Need to get this cold under control, especially as I don't want to give it to the elderly lady I'm visiting tomorrow (and it has to be tomorrow, no chance of postponing it).

Just had a good session upstairs, so all rubbish picked up in both bathrooms, bed stripped and clean sheet put on, will wash and dry duvet cover and put it straight back on later. Loo and sinks in main bathroom cleaned and I even did the mirors and the windows so actually not looking too bad. Definitely still needs a lot more but part of the room is ok and I plan to keep it that way.

Cushions all plumped up in the living room and kitchen is fairly tidy, old flowers thrown out and vase currently soaking. More wood pellets brought in from the garage so will be fine for tonight. I need to hoover downstairs and hopefully will find some motivation to do bathrooms too.

Off to put kettle on and go and see if WM is finished

  • Morning all, sending hugs for those that are in need.. sharing spoons and chucking gert sticks for the BD’s that are lurking about..
Trying to get motivated to do some dailies.. my body is on total rebellion after Sunday, knew I’d overdone it, yet it needed to be done..
Ordered the underlay, about to order the carpet and semi booked the carpet fitter for Monday.. Will engage DS1 & 2 to assist in another declutter of their room (That said it really isn’t bad) yet do not need to be moving around unnecessary stuff..
Once it’s done I can relax a little as it’ll be the last of the major decorating that is needing to be completed. This will allow me to try to keep one top of the cleaning and just spruce up bits here & there.
