Things have moved on quite a bit. Eon have approved the Eco grant and I have paid my contribution towards installation costs. They are coming this Thursday to do the installation of a WB 30i in the utility room.0

I also had a Portterdon boiler. It broke down last month and to get an up to date boiler meant a combiboiler. To switch to a modern boiler has involved changes to the pipe work, removal of the tank in the airing cupboard and shutting off the electric wiring to that and to the timer, which requires qualified electrician. I got the cheapest boiler possible for one person, but it still cost almost £4,000 in total including labour and VAT0
