Still here, not been posting but have been keeping up with diaries. Still feeling a bit down on and off and I think that will continue up to the anniversary of OH's death [3 weeks away]. I'm managing work but making sure that I have lots of time for myself as well as spending time with people.
Been doing quite a few surveys and had a payout from 1poll last week, I'm almost halfway to the next payout already. Crawling very slowly to payout on Ugov, hopefully I will get a few surveys with the upcoming election. Prolific has been quite good lately so cashed out £12 and put it to a CC, when all pending surveys are paid, I'll have another £11 on there.
I've got a £12 off £50 shop voucher from Sainbo which is valid until 19th so will aim to get an online shop delivered around then. I've meal planned the next week or so around whats already in stock although I'll need bread and maybe some veg. If I time it right the shopping will go on the following month's CC bill which will help.
I paid all the CCs yesterday apart from one which isn't due for a week. Was quite depressing as I have nothing left to save or put in my emergency fund. I feel like I'm working hard but going backwards rather than forwards. Nothing for it but to keep going.
One of the tiny humans is spotty and the other is lurgified so am keeping well away. I definitely can't afford to be off sick at this point. Did see their mum briefly today as I'd made a meal for them so she picked that up. I've also booked myself in for a flu jab in about a weeks time. Needs to be a private one as not eligible on NHS now, did get one when OH was having treatment as his immune system was compromised. Think its worth paying for though being self employed with no paid sick leave.
Not been over the doorstep this weekend other than to fill the bird feeder so will make an effort to go out tomorrow as don't have any work booked in. Rest of the week is busy though so need to keep on top of meal prep and packed lunches.
Thats enough rabbiting on and moaning from me so off to have a hot chocolate and cuddle with big old furry boy.0 -
I'm glad to hear from you, teapot. There's no other way round what you're going through, is there, that bereavement just has to be lived through
Tiny humans can be a good distraction during daylight hours, but with lurgies, you haven't even got that. All the best, especially for these 3 weeks upcoming, come back to natter when you're ready.

Thanks KC :kisses3:, yes you're right nothing to be done but go through it. Am taking each day as it comes, trying to fit in some time with others as well and being gentle with myself. Its hard though, I've got the radio on and a song has come on that OH really loved so am sitting here in floods
.
I'll be back when I can and I think it helps to try and post and keep in touch.xx0 -

Had a work meeting in a nearby town today but didn't have to also go into the city as later work was rescheduled to next week which suits me fine. I've got a long busy day tomorrow, will need to be up early. I'm at a training day on Friday all day so have had to move some Friday work to Thursday which is why its busy.
I went to T@sco to get some bread, tomatoes and baking potatoes after my meeting. I've defrosted some qu@rn mince with veg so will have that with a tattie, plus grated cheese and a dollop of yogurt on top. I can take sandwiches for lunch tomorrow now I've got bread.
Did a few Prolific surveys this morning and checked the banks - nothing new to show.
Its been really cold since about 3.30pm and I've just heard the gritter lorry going round so I suspect we might be in for frost or ice. Shame, I was looking at the garden earlier and there are still daisys, cornflowers, geraniums, nasturtiums in flower and even some night scented stock but they won't survive a hard frost
I sorted out the recycling when I got back as it will be dark tomorrow by the time I finish work, did some more shredding so thats all ready to go out on Thursday night if its not windy or very early on Friday if it is.
Next, going to have a cuppa and watch something I've recorded, even cold in here, still got my hat on and going to fill a hot water bottle to stuff up my jumper - classy0 -

It got cold here a little while ago too, plus a very short bout of heavy rain set off a car alarm! Made me go check my bed is ready
and make sure my phone and kindle are both charged up - if we get a power cut later on, I just want to go to bed and play with my electronics
Next few days sound very busy for you: all the best with it.2023: the year I get to buy a car0
