Well the good weather didn't last, by the time I had a break in work the haar had come right in and it was chilly with poor visibility so very little done in the garden :(.  Today looks better but I can see its murky in the distance and very cloudy so not sunny as yet.  Am going to venture to a nearby town by bus for the first time in 15 months [apart from going for my second jag].  Theres a monthly farmers market on this morning so if its not too busy I'll have a wander round that as its outdoors.  If there are too many folk around I'll go for a wander down by the river instead, it'll just be good to be somewhere different.
Yesterday evening I took part in a virtual audience for a couple of episodes of a radio show recording.  I did that a few times over the winter, you apply for tickets by email but don't always get them so its a bit of a lottery.  Its something a bit different and interesting to see behind the scenes and how the programmes are put together.  I've got another one next week as well to 'go' to.
Better get on or the market will be over before I get there!

Those both sound really good!  A farmer's market, bliss.  And attending the free recording of a tv show I like is on my bucket list :)

All went well with trip to the next town, wasn't too busy at all and lots of folk wandering around wearing masks all the time.  Was good to see somewhere different.  There is a winter footwear chemist in the town which we don't have so I ventured in for some sun cream as the stuff I have is quite elderly and probably not effective now.  I had a wander round the farmer's market and went to the bookshop.  I had a book token to spend and I wanted to support the local bookshop even if it is more expensive than buying on the Big River 📚📚 so got a couple of books then went to a charity shop and got another one I've been wanting to read.  My pile of books waiting to be read has grown again.  Bus was pretty quiet both ways as well so all in all a successful but cautious jaunt.
Once I got back to the coast, I could see the haar had come in again so not sunny and pretty nippy here.  I did some weeding and planted a few tatties and put in salad leaf, carrot, radish and mange tout seeds.  Am hoping that the warm weather every one is talking about might reach us tomorrow 🌞

I've experienced this a couple of times - at some point in the 1960's I was taken by a family friend  to see 'The One O'clock Gang' live in Glasgow.  This was a very popular lunchtime show but mostly passed me by as we didn't have a TV while I was growing up 🙄.
Fast forward a few decades 😲 and we got tickets a few times to go to see one of OH's favourite comedian's TV show being filmed at the South Bank in Londinium.  Quite interesting to see behind the scenes and how its put together and then watch when its televised and see how it was edited.

Chilly again this morning and the haar was right in again.  It had burnt off by about 2pm and then the weather really warmed up.  I was out for a walk with family and the tiny humans and soon realised I had too many layers on.  We walked through woods and round a large pond with lots of geese and goslings then round by a big house with lovely gardens before deciding to head back as it was sooo hot - we are never happy with the weather :) .
Caught up on a load of work admin when I got back and listed some items online as it was too noisy to be outside since next door were having some sort of family get together.  Watered the pots this evening as they soon dry out and made a lentil and fridge bottom veg chopped salad.  Happily I also did an online shop to be delivered as fridge is getting bare and cat food supplies are running low - horror 😻.

No more haar just sunshine!  I worked on the Bank Holiday but managed to do bits in the garden between meetings.  I chopped back a bush at the end of the garden and have transplanted some self seeded foxgloves which should do ok in that quite shady area.  I also put in a few plants I got ages ago from someone via FB, can't remember what they are but one has seed heads which the finches apparently love.
Didn't sleep very well last night, think it was the heat.  I don't have my bedroom window open at night because one of the people over the road gets up at silly o'clock for work and bangs his car door and he has a souped up number which is v noisy so it always wakes me up.  I have to open a window at the back of the house which is much quieter and leave both doors open to get some air through.  I'd forgotten to do that so will make sure I do tonight before I go to bed.
Attended a Zoom workshop this morning and worked this afternoon then Skyped a friend.  Watered the borders and pots after tea and then read for a while, I finished The Midnight Library so will have to raid the 'to be read pile' tomorrow.

Meant to say I did a reasonably paid survey on Prolific today as well as missing a few, I noticed I've earned just over £1500 from Prolific in the just over three years since I joined.  1poll on the other hand keeps sending me surveys that I'm not eligible for grrr.

That's a very good amount of money from Prolific!  I joined pinecone eventually, but neve prolific, and they *really* sound worthwhile.  Must do better :)

Yes it really makes a difference and I enjoy the surveys there are all so varied. I mostly do 1poll, Prolific, Pinecone if they are offered and UGov which are rarely offered though I did get a few around election time.  I get too bored with the 20 minute ones about banks or broadband these days so have stopped doing them.  I occasionally complete one for Neck tar as the points just get added to my total in there.
