Made a fish curry last night, enough for family and me to have some so this morning family popped in to collect theirs plus a wee jar of rhubarb chutney to try.  After doing some work admin I went for a walk with a friend then we had lunch sitting outside in a lovely wee village, my treat as it was her birthday this week.  I cashed out £20 from Prolific and will transfer that to my cc towards the lunch.  Got a really full day of work tomorrow so better get the washing up done and head to bed!

Had a text this morning to confirm my FD switching incentive of £100 was on its way to my new account which is good news and that can go towards house repair fund via PBs.  I'll wait to see if there's any 'spare' cash is in my business account once all the invoices are paid up and transfer that too.  Sadly not had any luck with my PBs as yet but its only a couple of months they've been eligible for the draw.
Had a really busy work day yesterday and was still tired this morning but went out to get bread and bits of shopping and perked up a bit.  Managed to get a suitable size of cat basket in the Zero Waste shop for new-to-me cat, so was well pleased with that. Was really hot by the time I got home but managed some bits in the garden, had to keep coming in the house to cool down as am not one for being out in the sun even slathered in sun cream! Hoped to get the grass cut but it was just too hot so I might try when its cooler tomorrow morning.  Think it'll be hard to sleep tonight, still roasting here 🌞

Finally managed to get the grass cut before the day got too hot.  I cut the edges with the long handled trimmer thing, I do have a strimmer but am pretty rubbish with it for some reason, maybe being left handed makes a difference?  That all took ages as I don't think I did the edges last time so it was very long. I planted all the various plants that were waiting to go in so felt quite good about that but then went and bought some more today 🙄.  I went out for lunch with family which was lovely, my turn to buy, we sat outside and watched the world go by and the wee birds coming down for crumbs. After that, at the request of family went to a local nursery where I ended up spending almost £20 on plants and more bird seed as I've run out.  I'll transfer some survey money from PP to cover that.
I've done a few Prolific surveys in the last couple of days and they've paid up already so have nearly £14 in there again. 1poll should get to cash out this week as well.  I sent in meter readings so hoping that the DD will cover the bill this month as its been so much warmer so not needed the heating on.
Had a bit of a clear out in the shed over the weekend and put four large items on the local free site.  All have been taken which is great and there is quite a bit more space in the shed.  I need to do more clearing and sorting further into the shed though so that I can actually reach things I need - maybe a job for the coming weekend :)

Turned out to be a bit of a spendy week but mostly covered either from survey money or other places.  I have a pot of money aside from share dividends to buy some new clothes if I ever stop working from home in the future.  I haven't bought any clothes since well before the first lockdown, I can get away with some of them online but not so much in person :).  I went to the nearest town on the bus the other day to buy some trainers from a shop that has a closing down sale, pleased with what I got, they are very comfy and used the clothing pot for them.  The bus was by no means full but there were more people on it than the last couple of times.  I felt a bit uncomfortable especially as some people wear their mask to get on and off the bus but pull it under their chin while sitting down which is not whats supposed to happen!  The Covid cases have gone up quite a bit locally so that makes me wary of venturing out, local very busy garden centre cafe has closed except for takeaways due to a member of staff testing positive.
As mentioned in previous post, I have some more plants to go in so will do that today but not the courgettes plants I've grown from seed as its been windy here the last few days and thats forecast to continue.  Already some of the flowering plants have lost their petals, the Aquilegias are bare now.  I had some tall foxgloves just coming into flower and I've had to stake them.  Its not gale force, maybe 30 mile an hour gusts at times but thats enough to do some damage at this time of year.
Not a lot happening moneywise, I cashed out £25 on 1poll and have cashed out £20.50 from Prolific to cover the plants I bought and am back up to £15 in Prolific so might leave that and add to it.  I did a survey recently that has another couple of parts to it which is handy.  Also offered a Pinecone survey this week as well and that has bene paid so just building up the balance in there.
I've done an online shop to be delivered tomorrow evening, more expensive that usual but quite a bit of it is food for new-to-me-cat.  I also needed to stock up on some tins and buy some stuff for the freezer which was running low.
