Notifying new address to DVLC Paper driving licence

If you have a biometric passport, just do your licence on-line, you don't need to send anything by post. When you receive your new photo-card and have checked your categories you are supposed to send the old done back!0

I doubt if they can make production with intent to deceive stick, but it could be a huge can of worms.
How true. I passed my tests before relentless cynicism was ground into me so I don't have any proof except the licence. Nowadays I would have multiple notorised copies of all the pass certificates and applications in my safekeeping.
They wouldn’t need to make it stick, just give them a reason to arrest and seize the car and licence. You’ll get your car back when you get a licence they can verify with dvla.0 -
Thanks. I checked online and it does have my driving licence recorded correctly, despite being issued in 1975. I will get the form for change of address, photos and other ID ready so I am well-prepared.
Greatful for everyone's help.0 -
Move apart, if your address hasn't changed in the last 44 years, I'm going to guess that you can't be too far off having to renew your licence at 70 - which means photocard, anyway.0
