Good evening, just popping in to say that's a good move with the electric throw, Gers. I've had mine for about eight years. I bought it when I lived in a hard to heat mid 1970's chalet bungalow: even installing cavity wall insulation and insulating the eaves didn't stop it from being a cold house. The electric throw was a life saver! I haven't yet needed to use it here, this is a cosy well insulated flat.
And Gers, you earned your angel's wings today :A Nelski has earned them for forbearance re watchgate :A
I think it was the journalist Katharine Whitehorn who said she was forced to maintain a clean and tidy house by making sure she had visitors at least once a week. My visitors have just left, and I'm enjoying the Katharine Whitehorn effect. Must have visitors more often!
Thinking of Mr & Mrs snoozer and everyone else who has had a stressful day today.
I'm all set for an evening browsing around the interweb. I hope you have a relaxing evening and a good visit from the sandman. xxx0 -
Hi everyone just a quickie to let you all know my little granddaughter is doing really well. Her breathing tube has been change to one that gives her oxygen just when she needs it rather than all the time and she is being fed DDs milk. DD is hoping she might get to hold her tonight for the first time.
DD went for a check-up today and unfortunately her blood pressure is high again and her wound is infected so she has antibiotics.0 -
dp1. hopefully the anti-b's will do the trick and dd will be better soon.
The appointment went as anticipated, so Steve starts chemo the week after next. Of course they have to go through all the cons but the consultant was very positive because of Steve's overall fitness levels. The treatment is relatively newly licensed and seems to have had more promising results than the previous treatment.0
