  • Birds fed, washing load on and porridge snaffled I can't put it off anymore next is prepping the tiny bathroom and possibly painting it today if filler dries quickly.

Ordering in later tonight as there hasn't been takeaway for a long time. Putting the completion of the bathroom as the goal and then we can order this evening, nothing like having something to aim for:rotfl:
  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

Yetsredays scan went well, it was a good job I set off early there was a huge traffis jam on the road into the city. I was home just after 12 noon.

Been to the physio this morning have some exercises to do and go back in 2 weeks. To be honest my left wrist is bothering me more than my right shoulder just now. I have an appointment with the Dr at the weekend.

I also went to Aldi, needed some fruit and a couple of other bits, so all battened down now until next week or even the week after depending on the weather. We did have a frost last night, the windscreen took some cleaning. The sun is out but its bitterly cold.

Another bad night, I might try for a nap this afternoon........

Not sure whats for supper but it will have to be something that does not take much effort. I am really tired.

OL, it's not a competition, you are allowed to feel down about things, especially with everything that is going on around you. You really need a break but unless you can convince grump of your need to have some money for yourself it seems a forlorn hope.

Afternoon all, the sun is shining here but it's quite fresh .
Anyway I'm a bit late posting again but we've had a bit of a busy day so far.
First an early emergency run to DGD school ( she's fine now ) then to put in Mr Fix It's prescription and finally on to a large city retail park to look for a new recliner chair for himself. ( Gers I blame you for putting that idea in his head :rotfl:. ) Joking aside we have had our chair for about 15 years, it's been fixed a few times and re padded, but now on it's last legs. It's accommodated himself plus the 2 DGC and Jasper dog ( sometimes all at once .) It's been a tree house, a space ship, a castle etc and I've rocked both DGC to sleep in it, so we will be sad to see it go, but Mr Fix it says it's becoming uncomfortable now :(. He has seen one he likes so I shall move some money around and we'll go and have another look tomorrow. I just hope he likes it as much when we take a second look .
I rang dad this morning too and he seems to have caught a cold. He was coming for tea tonight but he thought it better to stay indoors and he will ring if he needs me. So there is a very large HM sweet and sour pork in the slow cooker ready for tea. I think we'll have rice with it and then the rest will go in the freezer.

I don't know what to do this afternoon.... I might just vegetate :rotfl:. After all I did all the ironing yesterday and the washing basket is empty :j.

Hope everyone is having a reasonable day.
Healing vibes are on their way to all the poorlies and hugs to anyone who needs or wants one or more.
    Take care all

Snoozer I hope Steve's appointment goes as well as you hope today. My fingers are well and truly crossed.

What a morning...busier than a bee and then I made a slight mess of the interview venue, I thought they were coming to me and they were all in Oban. It all worked out as I dialled in via VC which would have been the sensible decision in the first place.

One of my students hadn't submitted her work online so I was set to fail her. She responded by saying she had submitted - last night at 11.30p.m, only three weeks late. I relented and turned myself from witch to angel to accept her work, not without a grumble or two along the way. :rotfl:

My fire is blazing away thank goodness, it's much colder today. I've ordered an electric throw which is being delivered today, just for when the weather is cool rather than cold.

NanW - :o sorry, though everyone should have a comfortable chair. Mine is S tressless, took about nine weeks to make but was so worth it. It really makes a difference to my mood!

I'm using up soup and chicken thighs ready to go down to DM's tomorrow afternoon.

    Keep warm everyone!

To be fair I lived with the 'old' chair for five years, from new, until I decided it wasn't wasteful to get rid of it and buy one more suited to me. Wish I'd done it ages ago. The other one now lives in a nearby holiday cottage where it's appreciated.

The heated throw has arrived, who would have believed how great it is? Not me... but it's really fab. Had to pay a bit more as I didn't want brown so went for teal. I'm really happy with it and now feel I'm sorted for the winter.

I've eaten most of the left over chicken, some thighs are just tough so they weren't wonderful though not bad enough to chuck. Had them with sliced peppers and tomatoes. Fridge is almost empty now ready for stocking up on Saturday.

    Afternoon all,

Lovely day again here, temperature not very high, but sun shining until a short while ago.

Knitting this morning, rather small group as people have not really sorted themselves back to normal after Christmas yet.

Ham and cabbage for dinner, OH has cooked the ham, so just the cabbage and potatoes to sort , seems to be my turn to night, OH never finishes dinner!

Kind thoughts for all who are struggling in any way, look after yourselves and stay warm..

  • My plans were scuppered a bit today! DD sent a text at 7.30 asking if I wanted to go shopping with her. Yes said I, though all I really wanted was f & v, dairy and fridge stuff. She picked me up at 8.30 on route to school and I finally got back home at 2.00!!! I had forgotten she does a massive shop for the month when she gets paid!! We went to Aldi first for the bulk of it, then on to Asda as there are some things she likes from there, similarly Sainsbury's for stuff she gets there and finally Morries for the remainder!! After that it was a swift march to the shopping centre as she wanted some cards and gift bags. Card Factory were selling Xmas stock at 75% off so she got a mountain of stuff to put away. By this time I was visibly wilting!

I put my shopping away, had a late lunch, peeled the spuds and carrots for tonight and now I have my feet up. I am not moving for at least an hour! The first of the DGDs is due to arrive about 5.00 followed by the other two at regular intervals after that.

Have a nice evening if you can folks xx
