  • I don't know if this is general but all my data changed (to be correct) from Friday to Sunday.
    Before, my tax code was showing a wrong deduction for unpaid tax on interest: I received well under the £1000 PSA limit. Right now, that has all gone.

    Let's see if they get the tax right on my end-of-tax year UFPLS withdrawal.

    BTW: I haven't received a posted notice of coding since Jan 2018. Is this normal?

    Ours have only been received in the last few days.

    Same here.

    On a general note on the separate subject of the 'missing' interest breakdown(s), I've just checked and the link I put in post 18 (page 1) of this thread* still appears to work (when logged in), providing access to the link for the previously available breakdown.

    * for ease - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5947607/interest-details-on-hmrc-personal-tax-account-updated-to-include-how-to-access-interest-details&p=75297998

    Obviously not sure if it should be available and/or universal for all, as seemingly no longer available via front end links, but thought I'd share in case it's of use to someone.

    Pleasantly surprised by my experience of taking the online approach to challenging the figure on P800 for 17/18.

    They stated that I owed over £500 tax on unpaid interest on a figure that was way out. I went back through various accounts to establish that the correct figure was within £40 of the estimate I'd provided in June 17. Completed the online form and all sorted within a week, £500 owed became a £5 refund!

    That reinforces my preference for managing tax online rather than over the phone, based on previous experience!

    Which online form did you use for that?

    I managed to edit an accurate dividend figure for this tax year online just now, but savings interest is still neither shown nor therefore editable.

    I've just had another email from HMRC to tell me my tax code has changed again. Logged on to my personal tax account to find that they now say I owe tax on savings interest for 2017-18. There's no itemisation of interest earned but P800 is to follow by post. I don't expect that to be itemised either.

    Tax owed <£100 to be collected by code change unless I choose to pay it now.

    You can still access it via the direct link mentioned above and given on the first page of this thread. It's a bit flaky, but I just edited an entry a moment ago.

    Did you use the link mentioned (log in using your usual method first)? Works for me.
