Very disappointed with their services. I moved a couple of properties from British gas over to 24/7 home rescue recently, one of my properties had an issue with the boiler and the last service was about 14 months ago, so I was not covered as they require the boiler services every 12 months, no problem I asked them to proceed with the repair and I would pay as a one off repair and then book the service afterwards (I think this should be very clear when signing up a plan, you have more than 10 pages of T&C, so the customer is always abused as usual with these). Anyway I asked then to proceed with the repair asap, then started the nightmare of not being able to easily talk to them over the phone with several attempts just landing on a receptionist saying they had problems with their system and would call me back late,r which never happened, I keep having to contact them back. Anyway, nearly 1 week later and my tenants have been without heating and hot water for nearly a week. The parts that should have arrived Friday, didn't arrive, then Saturday, nothing, Now promised for Monday, which again can be true or just another day wasted and my tenants suffering. I'll go back to British gas, when I needed them it was fairly prompt service and they had pats in stock. I guess you get what you pay in this case. I made the assumption that giving the money to a smaller company would mean money distributed properly instead of increasing the wealth of shareholders at British gas, but in consequence I suffer from making such decision. I'll move back to british gas and I would suggest you do the same before you have to go through what me and my tenants have been.

It is now the 1st of January 2019, 1 week without boiler and this rubbish company can't even follow up to say anything. So far they have not done anything, utterly rubbish and disgusting company! avoid at all cost, {Edited by Forum Team}!

update 07/01, another engineer came to check the boiler a few days ago and told me the boiler was not repairable and I needed a new boiler which they would be happy to sell me and fit. I called a private boiler engineer to check, he simply reconnected the electronic board the 24/7 engineer left badly connected and my boiuler was back to work. This smels like a {Edited by Forum Team}!

Second, the 3 engineers that visited my premises were on the phone all the time asking for directions on what to do with the boiler with someone on a support line. I've never seem this, engineers that have no idea what they are doing.

by the way I want to take legal action against them on small court perhaps, they don't offer a facility to open complaint over the phone , just online and they oblige you to remove any online review negative about them to allow a complaint to be open. Is this legal?

I want to sue the hell out of these {Edited by Forum Team} now.

Now that I've been digging a bit more I can see the amount of bad legit review and how fake their positive reviews are.

I'm thinking it is worth opening a wide claim with everyone that has been {Edited by Forum Team} by them?

Perhaps open a website and register a domain just to help people dealing with these? it should come first on google search results. People should not be screwed by this company any longer

I have been stuck with this company (24/7home rescue) for a year now. It advertises as a rolling monthly contract which you can cancel at any time. They DO NOT let you cancel your monthly contract if you have made any claim at all. They wouldn’t let me cancel and kept me paying for the full year. I even cancelled the direct debit in my bank and somehow they still took their payments.
Also they never came for repairs unless I paid £75 security deposit first. When I explained I never had any money they refused to book a visit. Furthermore if an engineer does come, they decide if the repair is accidental which they won’t repair but they will not tell you this until engineer has given his report.
I got {Edited by Forum Team} for a full year and now I have broken fridge and washing machine .they refused to fix my dishwasher saying they never had the right parts.
I don’t know how they are getting away with this and they have caused my family some distress.

  • Definitely a scam.
On previous boiler services the providers have always replaced any parts free of charge.
Apparently they want to charge £80 for an replacement insulation panel.
