Locked in the house

Morning
I can’t actually get out of my house. The door seems to have been double locked from the outside and there is no way to unlock it from the inside due to the time my landlord isn’t answering the phone and other than jumping out of a first floor window there isn’t a way out of my flat.
Luckily I can work from home but my car is parked in a restricted zone you aren’t allowed to park there between 8am-5pm Monday to Friday as I normally leave at 6:45am it’s never an issue I will now get a parking ticket can I claim this off the landlord.

Who has locked you in?0

Can you throw the keys out to someone who could unlock it from the outside? Or even just chuck your carkeys out and get someone to move your car? Might be a bit late for the ticket though now.
Seems a bit odd that the lock has seized in this way.0 -
After you've got out contact your landlord there needs to be (HHSRS legislation) an effective fire escape:. E.g. rope to let you down0

Is there anyone in the block who you can either pass or throw your keys down to to open the door?
it could be that you have had your lock glued overnight but I guess if you cant get hold of anyone soon to help you ,you may need to get someone to smash the lock or open it....maybe a locksmith could be in orderin S 38 T 2 F 50

It's probably not a seized lock - it's a feature of the lock.
I've been locked in accidentally in similar circumstances - on a door wath a 'Yale Doublelock Nightlatch'. The person leaving the property 'double locks' the door, by turning the key through an extra revolution.
Then the door could not be opened from the inside.0 -
I think my downstairs neighbours have locked the door from the outside which is odd as you don’t actually use the key to lock it when going out you just pull it closed.
The inside of the lock has been blocked I vaguely remember something being said about not double locking the door when I moved in.
It isn’t a block of flats just three in what was a house the ground floor has a separate entrance. I’m on the second and third floor of a very quiet road so it’s a bit hard to grab anyone’s attention.
I’m thankful there isn’t a fire.0 -

They may not be insured (DOC - driving other car extension is not automatic these days and has conditions).0 -

An emergency locksmith would be more than a parking fine. As I can work from home although it isn’t ideal, I thought that would be better for the LL.0

The Potential PCN is not the landlord's issue, you should have parked the vehicle elsewhere just in case. Why should the landlord be at fault for one the tenant's mistakes in locking the house?0
