Morning all. It’s a cold one.

Recycling out for collection. It’s the last week for odd day collection so back to normal next week. Bed stripped and remade. I haven't set it to wash yet as yesterday’s isn’t quite dry. Hoping it will be by the time I’m home.
I’m off in a couple of minutes to drop DD at school then drop by the market. I’m hoping that I can stretch the one hour parking until the shops open as I really need to get into the opticians and to B@@ts.
    Back later. X

    hello!

Seems to be recycling day for lots of us - must remember to do ours as I've got lots of empty dog food tins from visiting pooches. I feed mine raw food, (which is cheaper and more natural IMHO) that can be stored in the chest freezer in the garage, so not too space hogging in the house.

Didn't really get the lounge sorted yesterday, so need to have a catch up in there, in addition to today's list.

    Let's do this!
  • Morning all,

Feel a bit like a wrung out dishcloth! DS has slept 12 hours and seems happier though :j

WM on an empty hot wash, duvet bagged up to take to launderette, DW unloaded. Need to do some money shuffling, and generally got a bazillion things to do today. DS will probably have a lazy day on the sofa xx

Well that was my last 'holiday' lie in as I have a full day at work tomorrow.
DW, WM and TD have all been dealt with as I awoke earlier. Just going to read for a while. A new book (ie one I haven't previously read) - finally getting my reading mojo back.
Have a good day all x

It was a good thing I did a lot of Flying on Monday, as I managed none yesterday - got caught up with church visiting, and then a friend came over for a meal of easy SC tagine and couscous, followed by slices of Nigella's choc/orange cake from the freezer, defrosted raspberries and ice cream or Greek yogurt - SW friendly, to celebrate DH's Slimmer of the Week award and hopefully continue his run of losses. I also somehow decluttered 3.5 lb in a week: not quite sure how I managed to do that, as the choc box is mysteriously emptying itself :rotfl:

    Today I must
    - check which birthday cards I still need for the next couple of months
    - clean the bathroom thoroughly
    - take DH to the horse piddle in the big city to pick up his new CPAP mask, then perhaps I can stop sleeping in the study bedroom :o
    - take DH shopping for new t-shirts, as I culled almost all his old, disgustingly shrunk and tatty, ones on Sunday. I have an M+S 30% off voucher which can be put to good use :money:
    - buy birthday cards and a gift for DGS2
    - Rosie's walk
    - transfer more numbers from my old phone to the new one (different size of Sim card, and different operating systems)
    - tidy a bit more of my desk
    - sort Toddler Group for tomorrow
    - go out with DH this evening to meet a rescued owl :D

(((Hugs))) to all in need, especially if you're stressed, poorly or caring for someone else. Will throw sticks for BDs while I'm out with Rosie - the woods are beautiful just now. Plenty of spoons in the jar by the hob: please help yourselves xx
  • Morning everyone,

So, now off work for 2 whole days so must crack on with the lists.
Fridge reshuffle, DW loading and dog walks all done ✅
Need to complete kitchen jobs and then start on the bathroom, in particular the shower doors. No matter what I do they always look as bad the day after. Do you lovely people have any magic formula to keep them sparkly?

Living room looks ok as did a mini spring clean when the Xmas decorations came down.
Right cuppa ☕️ Then I aim to complete my list before decluttering my many grey hairs at 1 o’clock

    See you soon x
  • Slow start to the day. Climbng out of bed now but going to crack on and play catch up on my lists

Morning. I've put two loads of washing out. It's frozen, but never mind! Recycling and black bin day here, the recycling is already gone. Back to normal days next week.

Shopping due in the next half hour, first lot for three weeks so I've done pretty well and really we could have managed a few more days but my delivery pass is for midweek.

Then I'm planning to sort out the bottom of a wardrobe with the crates I've ordered with the shopping in the hope I can get bags of toys in there that I keep for granddaughters visiting. Now two of them are at school and another lives 4 hours away I don't get visits as often so the toys don't need to be as accessible. I've already been through and got rid of the very young ones.

Oh my days - you lucky mare! I've been up since six, as usual.

So far: all animals fed and watered, ditto small people. Boys both at school, WM and TD both on. DW emptied and woodburner cleaned out and relit.

Cuppa made while I check the bank balance

Still to do: email builders and contact another football team regarding some friendly matches, search out suppliers of Sodastream syrups, as I unearthed our syphon yesterday (together with my flashy food processor that I then spent and hour learning how to use!) :rotfl:

    Catch up later x

Back from errands. I will have to go back again as DD’s lenses are wrong. A 30 mile round trip I could do without.

In the meantime, I must get something done. HHC anyone?
