  • Evening

Such a Busy day, didn't go to plan ended up with unplanned spends with lunch and the girls needed some new water bottles for school:

    Water bottles - £10.05
    Lunch - £3.65
    Water: 2ltrs
    Steps: 15,290

Tweaked the budget to ensure it balances for the rest of the month but will mean some adjustments.

Had a couple of invites for some nights out but these would be in town and would end up expensive so I have politely declined and explained I am wanting to save some money for Easter and summer holidays and had a spendy February so they understood. I am determined to pay off Next this month and start building up the saving pots.

I have to say I still can't believe I don't have a credit card debt anymore, I have always been in debt constantly since I was 18, its a strange feeling but liberating at the same time, for years it wasn't about what I owed but how much credit was available to spend !!!! it took me till I got into my 40's for it be be a pain in my neck and it was a constant physical pain every day. I want to teach the girls financial skills and ensure they don't make the same mistakes as me.

Well its, bed for me, extremely tired this week and still need to do my ironing and have been slacking with the washing too over last two days I need to get a grip and on top of things.

    Good night all

    Afternoon Sunday

Just updating whilst tea is in the oven, didn't get a minute yesterday and it seem to go by in a flash.

2lb gained at WW expected more to be honest but still not good enough anyway back on it as they say.

Spendy Saturday so my entertainment budget has a paltry £4 remaining but I expected it has spent quite a lot at youngest birthday party and and spend the £45.00 at party which included the cake (to go around 25 kids!!!) and extra party bags (which I needed). All the kids seemed to have a lovely time running around for 2 hours. I was shattered too so we were all in our pj's by 7.30pm watching a movie. Youngest was spoilt rotten.

So a spendy Saturday resulted in a skin flint Sunday - which was welcoming.

Today is a NSD for me. I have also sent 0.17p to 1p saving challenge.

    March to date roundup

NSD - 1/16 ("Spending of Entertainment Budget")
    Lunch to Work - 0/10

    Entertainment Budget - £15.00/£20.00

    Saving Pots
    Easter Savings - £0/£125
    Holiday Savings - £0/£100
    Emergency Fund - £0/£50
    Mobile phone repair - £2.15/£50

    Debt
    Clear Next - 0£/£100
    Mum - £0/£200

    Healthy Lifestyle
    Steps (Saturday) - 14,686
No chocolate, sweets or biscuits 3/31
    1.5ltrs water per day - 2/31

Food shop doing today (OH turn), my youngest wanted to buy a fish with her birthday money and is now the proud owner of Mason and Alex - her uncle and auntie bought her a lovely unicorn fish tank for her birthday too which is perfect for the new additions. She got some things to go in it and it looks really lovely, a very happy little lady with still over £100 left over from her b/d money. My girls have more money than I do !

    Enjoy the rest of Saturday

    Best wishes
