#48 updating. I missed the last update as we were in the process of selling our old home and buying our new one. We have now moved and our mortgage has increased to almost £142k. This house should see us through kids growing up and then we will look to downsize later in life to something that meets our needs.
given the amount of work that we need to get done this year to bring it into a more suitable state (we bought the doer upper that was £70k less than the one that had been renovated around the corner ... exactly the same floor plan). So MF dreams have been shelved for the short term and so we will only be making token payments for the remainder of 2021.
I have submitted chart updates to reflect these changes, but good luck to everyone xxx2022 Target - Reduce new mortgage balance after house move - Part 1 (Ported) Starting balance £39,982.12 currently £37,242.19 Part 2 Starting Balance £101,997.88 currently £96,197.38 (as at 19/04/2022)3 -

Thank you for running this challenging trix - it really has motivated me to keep going and chipping away. I am hoping that I will be in the green this time! All being well I should meet my target by November01.05.2019 - Re-Mortgage - £142,000 :eek::eek: Total overpaid to date: £15,584.33.

sneaking in ever so slightly late. Whilst our bonus OPs have slowed (we're also saving for house renovations), we're on track to hit our MFiT T5 target with just £6300 to go.
This month's payment took us permanently out of the £50k bracket. The end inches ever closer!know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...2 -
No 59 reporting in - hopefully I've submitted in time for my update to be included.
Current Balance is :£157,959.93
Having finished work last September and only started work again in March so major OPs and even regular payments stopped - I used my OP balance until I felt more secure. Start paying again in September, but I could change that if I so wish. I need to look into that.
Current prediction is to be at154,975.52 so I need to magic up £15k to hit my target.
Thinking cap on....but if I dont hit it I wont be disappointed, IM still ahead of where I woudl have been. Plus I've increased my savings and added £11,300 to my S&S Isa and SIPP.
Thanks
MM

#25 here. I filled the form in a couple of weeks ago after my normal payment but my update doesn't seem to be showing. I have since overpaid some more and it now stands at £83,472.
Because of an early repayment charge I think I am going to be around £390 short of my target. I may just overpay it and pay the £19.50 charge so I can have a round figure going into the new year.Without overpayments: 15 years, 1 monthsBecause of overpayments: 10 years, 10 months left until paid off1 -

I do the updates periodically as they come through & add any subsequently filed so all updates should always end up on the final charts eventually
