But that isn't the point you were making.

    Yes it was.

You made a comment about the OP needing the money.....you make an assumption which wasn't correct.

You also seem to think "ebay go through the process" - I have no idea what process you think they do, but unless you have the NPB set up as automatic then nothing will happen to reclaim fees/strike the non payer.

Thank you! For fighting my corner the onlywayisup.

Whether I need the money or not (which I don't ) is totally not the issue. I usually use BIN but thought I would have a go at auctions to see if sales were any better. So far so bad!

I know its only been a few days but that is why I was asking on here as I have not had this happen before.

Thanks for the "helpful" comments and advice. I will send another invoice now and if no joy then I will take it further.

It's completely not the issue, but people seem to assume anyone on this site is in dire need of money.

As I said further up there ^ I don't tend to do auctions but I would be opening a NPB on day 2, it tends to focus the mind. If people want an item, they need to pay for it. Sadly there are those who feel they can pay when they feel....thankfully it doesn't work like that.

As an aside, block the buyer if they don't pay.

Let ebay go through the process, if you needed the money straight away, should have done a BIN

There isn't actually any eBay process, invoices are sent at sellers discretion , although eBay do send a 'congratulations you've won' email.

As for any non paying bidder process, a seller can opt in to that and it can be started on day 2 if a seller wishes , alternatively the seller can open it manually when they choose to do so.

I don't hang about any more , reminder invoice on day 2 and then I tend to start an NPB on day 3 or 4 depending on whether I'm around to close it 4 days later.

I started an NPB yesterday and buyer has messaged to say she has been hospitalized and will pay as soon as she can.

How go I deal with the NPB? Do i just wait untill the 4 days are almost up or just cancel the process now or is there another way to go?

It's up to you, personally I would leave it open and just close on day 4 , if you cancel it then you can't open another one.

I'd close it after 4 days and ignore their message.

If they are well enough to reply, they are well enough to pay.

Funny how so many people manage to bid then get taken to hospital before they can pay...

(Bet they wanted the item but haven't got the money yet. Probably waiting to sell something or get paid. Have they got anything for sale on eBay?)
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Yes, I too would close it after day 4. Block and move on.

It's amazing how many people are hospitalised, on holiday, without internet, their dog/cat/toddler bought it by mistake etc etc when they need to pay for something.
