Got the morning off work and thought I better come and show my face. Thanks for all the messages.
I just seem to be running out of time to do everything, I have been doing some voluntary admin work for the village and this is taking up a lot of time at the moment. I am hoping it will become a paid job from April so that will give me some extra in the pot.
I have also applied for a new full time job and have an interview on Thursday, similar job to what I do now but the upper end of the pay scale is more than I get now and my current job is not all that secure.
I feel really nervous but what will be will be.
Have been doing more surveys - none at pay out yet. Also decided to try selling CDs to Music Magpie, sent 2 boxes off to them yesterday so I should get nearly £100 for them.
Still loads to sort, waiting for more empty boxes at work and then I'll send some others off.
Will do a debt update some time this week, I don't think it has moved very far but at least I am not adding to it.
STBEXH still being a prize twit, I am not proud of myself for swearing at him in front of our daughter and her friend but he proper narked me. Apparently he doesn't think he needs to pay me for the furniture which I have on my credit card as I ended our marriage and made him move out:mad::mad:
I am so angry about it but I have decided to rise above it and just thank god that I got out last year and don't have to suffer any more. A debt of £1k is nothing in comparison to actually getting rid of him.
I'm still skinter than a skint thing, managed to get through January but only because my pay day was early. February is also going to be tight, won £138 on the lottery so that has helped pay the last instalment on my weekend away in May.
I definitely need to get more regular income so hopefully I'll either get the new job or I'll start some the paid part time work or maybe both:):)0 -
Your STBEX is an idiot and while I understand you think paying for his furniture is a small price to pay to get rid I think I would remember that next time he needs help. Difficult I know because you have kids to distance yourself completely but it would definitely make me less inclined to help in the future.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. And next time he brings up the "you ended our marriage and made me move out" I would politely (if in front of the children) or not so politely (if alone) remind him of precisely WHY you did that. Goodness knows it wasn't a spur of the moment decision ... and even less one which you have regretted!Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
