Well done on doing that horrid task.

    I also do these surveys.
They are not as good as they were now as lots of cubes & boxes involved & such a blooming faff.

  • Sorry to have given you duff information about the veganin tablets! I thought they contained aspirin, but it must be the caffeine that has done the trick for me all these years:coffee::think: I fully understand that you’re not trying them, but as I said before they are the only tablets that work for me. Should get my facts right before posting:think::(

Loved the story about your postie. Our postman has almost become a friend. He knocks on our door nearly every morning. Not necessarily with parcels for us but for practically most of our immediate neighbours. The family across the way receive packages from eBay several times a week and they are never in to receive them. Postie knows that if he knocks on our door OH will always take them in. (I’m usually still in bed:rotfl:), We don’t mind being neighbourly, as I’m sure they would do the same for us if ever the need arose, but often it’s OH who has to go over and deliver them as they don’t seem to be able to make the effort to pop over and collect them:mad: The two neighbours either side just don’t bother answering the door even when the parcel might possibly be for them:huh: OH feels a bit sorry for the guy and always has a chat.

Well done on completing the No spend on Groceries Challenge:T

    Thanks, Retired lady:T

You certainly didn't give 'duff' information so please don't give it a second thought:kisses3:. As you said, they are the only thing that works for you and obviously they have something over and above the standard paracetamol and codeine mix. Added aspirin is an easy mistake to make. I know the addition of caffeine is supposed to give an instant boost to painkillers and that's probably what makes Veganin act quicker than the standard Co-codomol. Some of those 'extra' /'express'/'plus' tablets (Nurofen, Solpadeine or Anadin etc, I don't know which as I don't take them) have added caffeine for the 'extra' boost. The ones with the caffeine seem to cost a heck of a lot more in general than the basic ones. I had a friend in my student days who used Veganin for period pain and said they were the only thing that worked. I once had a terrible headache and she gave me one which certainly cleared it quite quickly:j. Maybe Co-codomol would have done too if I'd ever heard of in those far off days. My only pain relief then was the occasional aspirin which I remember buying in a little bottle from Woolworths:rotfl:

I wish!!!!! It's less cold today and there are patches of blue sky, just the type of day to enjoy a walk. I won't be taking one though as I'm determined to write and print off the letter to Santander about the default issue I was making such heavy weather of on Friday:(. I suspect Santander should be the first port of call as they owned the debt at the time when a default should have been issued. They'll probably try to wriggle out of all responsibility by referring me back to New Day who took over the debt in 2014. As far as I can see, Santander should have defaulted in line with all my other creditors during 2013 so I'm trying them first.

I'm on a mission! I like to get my teeth into something:rotfl:
