OMG, I'm rich! Silver in the hair, Gold in the teeff, Crystals in the Kidney, Sugar in the blood, Lead in the butt, Iron in the arteries and an inexhaustible supply of natural gas! I never thought I would accumulate such wealth!! :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Well, normal service has been restored - 1/2lb At least it is a loss, I suppose. On the plus side, and I am so pleased about this, we have a member who has numerous health issues, mostly stemming from her diabetes, so her progress is very dependent on how she is, but she attends & stays for class and generally tries to remain positive. As she needs a carer to come with her and the last couple of weeks were weigh in only, she didn't bother coming as the costs involved for the carer & cab did not make it worthwhile. She only came back last night with a stonking 10lb loss! We were so pleased for her.
Feel as if I am starting a new today. We had the new members talk last night, which introduced the newbies and educated the older members on the changes, so I am starting as if it were my first day. Hopefully this may fool my body, although I am going out for lunch tomorrow & meeting a friend for dinner on Monday:eek:A smile costs little but creates much0 -
Have to report a disappointing +1/2LB
I am 4.5 lb over target and paying!!!
We also had a run through of the plan and changes to he's. Several people commented that they were struggling with it. Couldn't work out if those mentioning it had gained like me as it wasn't a happy clappy session, just a general talk with the awards.
So, going to try again! My clothes are snug and I'm brassed off so I'm hoping that this will be the poke up the bum I needed.0 -
Aww that's a great result for that lady GTQ! When eating out, I think the old adage "Be good. And if you can't be good, be careful!" is a good one to remember
Well done to all the losers, can't remember who as you've been so chatty overnight!
Do you think it's the extra HEA that's done it Matron Midge?
C25K Week 1 Run 3 in the bag this morning, definitely feeling some improvement already, but I'll have to run for longer and walk less next week...
Today:
B - Weetabix and banana
D - Bacon and mushroom omelette
T - Baked salmon and hasselback potatoes with leftover bits of salad - carrot, beetroot, sweetcorn and cherry toms
HEA - Milk
HEB - Weetabix
Syns - Sugar in coffee (5), packaged beetroot (1) = 6 - might try to leave it there as it's WI tomorrow!
Also going to get some chilli going in the SC ready for a friend coming for lunch tomorrow, will serve with hasselback potatoes (hence the trial run tonight, not made them in a while) and salad.
Have a good day everyone, happy Friday!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

No, not on its own! My problem is that I think "Oooh good, I can have some cheese!" Then I have an extra cracker with it for supper (or 3 if I'm honest)
It's not the new plan - used to get 2 of each on green/red days - I just need to plan better!0 -
Well done on making a start in the right direction gtq. :T
I think most of us suffered one way or another through the December festivities midge. I did the same as you last week. I went to WI, found (no surprise) that I was out of target range and stayed to listen to the talk about the changes to plan. I made myself have a very good week (made absolutely sure I wasn't over syns) and I've now crept back into target range. It's motivated me to have another good week. You know it works. Go for it!:Apollyanna24 wrote: »I’m very disappointed. Not an official weigh in, but a sneaky peek and I seem to be up a lb.
Whilst I haven't been counting syns as such, I have stuck to my rules of no alcohol and no snacking.
Makes me wonder what’s the point as I was drinking like a fish and eating heaps of cheese and crackers at 10pm before new year and I was staying the same!
Don't be so hard on yourself.:) Giving up drinking and trying to change your eating habits at the same time is really difficult. I cut down on my drinking first then started SW which was easier. Although you're not having the alcohol syns you're still over the 15 per day to make SW work properly.pollyanna24 wrote: »
Today’s plan:-
B - coffee
L - omelette with cheese (hea), tomatoes, ham
Muller Greek yog (0.5)
Hula hoop puffs (3.5)
D - enchilada lasagne (hea and heb it maybe syns if I have had all my hea)
Pineapple salsa
S tea
Alpen bar (6)
IIRC this is one of your best on plan menus so far:T. Assuming you made the lasagne to the recipe then you are fine with HEA and HEB. The cheese with your omelette is your second HEA on the new plan. That means just 10 syns used today which is great. You could have another 5 if you wanted or just leave it to offset some of the extra syns you've had on other days.
I've arranged to go out tomorrow night but I'll be driving so that'll help cut down on the wine syns. The supper menu looks fairly low syn so I should be fine. I just know that having a 2 day weekend last week helped enormously to get me a loss.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, baked beans, fried eggs, HEA milk for drinks
L: probably LO veg and pickles or maybe lentil and veg soup.baked salmon, SW chips, tomatoes, stir fry veg
Syns: weekend wine:D
Fridge is looking a bit bare but meal plan is done and I'll shop later.:)0 -
Best magazine got a coupon in it :money:
