Morning all,
my weigh in was 1lb off, which I am ok about as last weigh in was on Wednesday. On Monday evening I tried sneaking in to class, but got the times wrong and ended up going in just as everyone was settled for the talk. It was all eyes on me as they waited for me to find the last seat
I went out on Sunday for a long walk and ended up in a caf! for a coffee and cake, completely forgetting that I was doing SW, cake was delicious though!
I tend to lurk, but loving hearing what everyone else is doing, some great losses and positive changes being made.
I am also recognising some names from last time I was on possibly 2017 so Hi to you returners too :rotfl:
thanks all0 -
Wow lucky you Gettingtherequickly! I curse my money-savvy past self when I hear of things like that!I'm actually in a really good place at the moment. I've promised myself that 2019 is going to be a better year than 2018.....
My yoga teacher last night was talking about 'making promises' to ourselves rather than 'setting resolutions'. It's all semantics but it feels a lot kinder.Officially should count spaghetti hoops now, but they were free when I lost my weight so I still treat them as free
I've been thinking a lot about the new HEA and syn values, and I think that as long as we aren't mixing and matching the plans then it should hopefully work out. E.g. I've cut Muller Lights out of my diet completely now (they're so expensive anyway!) so having a bit extra milk each day should balance out. But if we have the extra milk and cheese while saying "I'm not synning yoghurts or mug shots" then we'll be in trouble.Talking of Greggs has anyone tried the new vegan sausage roll yet?
Maybe the wrong thread to ask on though!!
No, I'm dying to but also really need to get into the SW groove. Maybe after I get weighed on Saturday!
Well after several months of treating my body like a bin and sitting on my bum, I've had a few days of healthy eating and exercise and I've come out in a giant cold sore. I think my body thinks it's under siege!
Today:
B - Cinnamon porridge, banana
D - Salad: tuna, carrot, cucumber, beetroot, cherry tomatoes, sweetcorn, boiled egg, balsamic vinegar
T - Savoury mince (inc onion, carrot, mushrooms), with mash, cauli, broc.
HEA - Milk
HEB - Oats
Syns - Sugar in coffee and porridge (4), packaged beetroot (1), butter in mash (4), hot choc (2) = 11
Exercise - 1km swim
Have a good day all!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

I was thinking the same thing Tete, I've lost weight following the same plan with one HEA and one HEB before so there's no reason why I can't do that again. I was never a lover of the muller lights and mug shots were a once in a blue moon thing when I forgot my lunch. So I'm sticking to the one HEA and we'll see what happens :rotfl:
Just popping in to say hi, have the following planned for today:
B - Porridge (HEA and HEAB), banana
L - Leftover lamb casserole (extra lean lamb, potatoes, onion and carrot)
D - SW Fry Up: Sausages (3 syns), mushrooms, tomatoes, egg and maybe chips
S - Ferrro Rocher (3.5 syns)Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -

2018 just didn't feel like my year..... which is a shame, because it's the year I hit target0 -

Well that's just it Tete, I religiously tick the boxes to say no, so finding this rogue statement threw me when I found it about 6mths ago. So must say, it was a very pleasant surprise:DA smile costs little but creates much0 -
2018 just didn't feel like my year..... which is a shame, because it's the year I hit target
And the year you 'met' us as well?
I've decided I'm not a fan of these 2 hea........decided yesterday I would try cereal with milk as I don't like cheese ....was blooming starving by lunch time so reverted back to my yogurt this morning - that way I could also have a good portion of fruit with it and I'm still feeling full.
Didn't go swimming or running this morning - we stayed up watching a film so both slept late - but hubby has got himself one of these indoor cycle trainers and cycles using the virtual cycle app so he'll be getting up to do that tomorrow so has promised to kick me out of bed lol
Going to have a stew tonight.0 -

Thought I was going to have an iffy week this week, as was supposed to meet a friend for dinner, but that is now next Monday, which means this week I can hopefully reverse what I did and balance next week. On a mission to lose 7lbs before I go on Nile cruise first week of Feb, if I do half of that I will be happy.
Had to book a hotel last night for my last night in Egypt as get back to Cairo too late for a flight to London. Very painful £190, although to be fair, it is a Marriott. Think they are also charging for the convenience as apparently there is a walkway from the hotel to the terminal. Anyway, was going bed and remembered that I had not opened any post that had come last week, knew there was a recall letter for the car, so looked at that and opened another one also. I found and old credit card statement about 6 months ago which had PPI, so nothing to lose by writing. Initially had a response confirming that they had received my letter, but then went quiet so at that stage was entitled to involve Ombudsman. Had a letter from CC confirming misselling and enclosing a cheque. From beginning, thought in my own mind, including interest (which can amount to quite a bit if for many year) refund of PPI etc, I would be chuffed to get £1,500, never in my dreams did I expect to see a cheque for over £4,500, had to sit down in shock! Hotel now looks cheap!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm doing a bit of both but in a positive way. I'm sticking with 1 HEA and 1 HEB and I'm doing the new syn values. I don't like flavoured yogurts anyway but if I buy any it'll be the syn free Greek to make overnight oats. I just feel a little more comfortable knowing that if I did go over on milk any day I'd be covered.
I only have cereal on WI days or if I'm going out for lunch gts. I find it the lightest, least filling breakfast.pollyanna24 wrote: »Bit miffed to find I only lost 1/4 lb this week. I know you said you're not going to do SW dinners but you are having quite a few syns through the day before you have your dinners. If it's the Okros yogurt that's a minimum of 6 (up to 7.5), 3.5 for the Pufts. You can have milk and cheese on the new plan but measured. That would only leave about 5 syns for your dinner and a korma could be 17:eek: Are you still eating things up from the freezer/fridge/cupboards? It'll get much better when you can buy in SW friendly foods.
I had some beansprouts to eat up so had a SP lunch. Most of my SP meals are accidental but it must help to keep the carbs down when possible.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, scrambled eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: ham with stir fried vegbaked haddock, mash (potato, carrot, spring onion and kale) with asparagus, tomatoes and mushrooms
Syns: HP sauce 10
