Wow.....Silva, I'm envious of your leather coat. What a bargain.
Wednesday....interesting about the leggings. I didn't know you could get cotton ones. Without being indelicate I am prone to infections, thrush, cystitis etc and my Gp advised cotton undies. One of the reasons I dislike tights so much but you're right all my leggings are synthetic. I shall definitely make a switch.0 -
Good morning lovely ladies.
So dark here this morning. Definitely more seasonal. Heavy rain too for a while but it's eased off now. I have been eating porridge with some foraged blackberries that I cooked for breakfast this last couple of days. Yummy and very MSE.
Got up at the crack of dawn and did some painting. Definitely need a break soon, paint fumes starting to upset my tummy again. At least I will be escaping later. Granny Duty this afternoon. Will make a nice break.
A nice long soak in the bath and a bit of fabbing next. I think it will be a fine knit sweater day today, time for the transitional clothing. I think I can safely say I am done with the summer wardrobe now. :rotfl: When I have my sort out I think I'll pack all the obvious summer clothing away. Hey ho, it was nice whilst it lasted.
Although I might still grab a cheap cruise in the sun after Christmas if I spot a bargain;)0 -
Hi ladies - been AWOL for a bit but just checking in to say that I am pleased with my hair colour I got done last week. She ended up blending different colours of highlights without doing a base colour, but she managed to do it so my root line isn't visible, which is what happened when I just got highlights at a different salon, which I hated.
My skin is clearing up wonderfully now I'm using the glycolic toner, now I just want to find a good eye cream as the one I have at home, I had for ages before I started using it, so it's probably best to pick up a new one.
I have started using primer too now, as my skin is quite shiny, but not due to being greasy so I don't mind so much. Mattifying products should work better now that it's not shiny due to being oily!
I go on holiday in just under 4 weeks so really trying to eat healthier and keep more active, I've definitely slipped there over the past 2 or so weeks as I was feeling a bit blue, but determined to get back into healthy habits!
Miserable weather here today, but at least I don't need to water the grass, and it's helping the grass seed we put down grow beautifully0 -
I used my trampoline this morning for 10 minutes and then went for a 20 minute walk. I'm going to do that daily from now on to tone up a bit.
I am ordering some black dye to refresh my husband's combat trousers and to also dye a few more of his clothes. His clothes seem to fade far quicker than mine for some reason.
I need to order some things from Superdrug as there is a particular peach lipstick that I can't ever find in the shops! I might look for some pampering things like face packs and bath products too.lessonlearned wrote: »

Yes, it wasn't something I had ever thought about as I've never had ringworm or any type of fungal infection before.0 -
Nothing to do with personal fabbing - if you are contemplating refurbing your kitchen (as I was) I found that doing just the doors and maybe the worktops was just as expensive as a complete new kitchen. My 25yr+ units were OK but a bit tired & initially I thought that was the best way to go. I also found the newer doors were a slightly different size and the hinge fittings wouldnt match up. I did consider whether to paint the old doors but ended up with a new kitchen that I absolutely love.....just sayingSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

Trampolining! What energy you have Wednesday.:T
You've become a real dyeing fiend. Strange how your DH's clothes fade more than your own.
That's interesting about the relative cost of new doors silva. We only did the painting as a temporary measure as we just couldn't agree what to have next. We had a white kitchen that had got dingy and ended up having another white one!:D
Brilliant buy with the leather coat. I was impressed that you had a bank to go to!:D
It's been an odd day here. Torrential rain in parts and bright sunshine in others. I'm dancing again tonight. I'm still just hanging on to a few summer clothes so will wear a long cotton skirt. I did wear a short, quilted jacket at the weekend (to football and to the cinema) so coats creeping in does show the changing seasons.:(
Good to see you posting SSDD. Glad to hear you've kept up with the fabbing. I thought I'd need fresh highlights by now but my hair looks fine so I think I'll just make a cut and blow dry appointment as my fringe is getting a bit long.
I'm almost out of my Clarins serum. I know it's very expensive but it gives me a lift as well as feeling good so I think I'll buy more. I favour Clinique eye cream

It's expensive so I've sometimes bought Body Shop but I do like it and often buy it duty free so I have some in stock. Benefit It's Potent is good too but that's also pricey.:(0 -
My fabbing is on hiatus at the moment and I miss it, My skin is playing up and not much can be used barr water. I find it dry and not ideal bit i can't make a problem worse.
I was looking at a house make over show and it was funny sometimes a more dull and expensive kitchen can be very uninspired. I used to view houses from 1930 and they had so much less, the more units I have the more i keep. I am inspired by the compact designs in small houses and minimalism. I think I will put units to the ceiling and maybe a deeper depth than normal. I might make it go higher and less floor space occupied with it. I alaways loved the american style basic to the ceiling and compact. The same kitchen can be repainted for years and has no fashion trends. The choice of pops of colour in plates and pictures will be enough for me,0 -
I think my husband keeps his clothes longer than I do as I regularly go through my wardrobe to check if I wear everything. That probably explains why his clothes fade more as he has probably had his clothes longer than I do.
I am going to dye some of my vest tops black today as well as I bought two packets of dye.
I've been doing the teeth whitening for a while now and I do see the results. I still have three vials of the whitening treatment left as well.:)Trampolining! What energy you have Wednesday.:T
You wouldn't have said that if you had seen me two years ago, or even last year. I was thinking that it is almost a year since I started the Gupta Programme to get rid of my fibromyalgia.
I feel so good now that it seems bizarre that my GP was just telling me last year that I might be eligible for a mobility scooter for my disability!!!2025 GOALS

That's amazing:T. I realise that exercise has a lot do with it but I'm sure fabbing has helped make you feel good too.:D
I've made a hair appointment for Saturday. I'm out dancing in the evening so I thought I might just as well take advantage of the blow dry. I think just cutting my fringe and tidying up the ends to sharpen the shape will see me through the next few weeks.
Fashion day in my newspaper today. The feature is on transition (between seasons) dressing and in particular how to look through the wardrobe and find things you already have rather than go out and buy new. very Green, very mse, very familiar??:D Examples are some animal print, wearing boots and jumpers with existing (summer weight) long skirts, jeans and trousers and something I plan to emulate tomorrow which is wearing the wrap dress I wore in the heat a couple of weeks ago with a long sleeved top underneath!:)
I hope to have my eyebrows done later. There are plenty of appointments available so haven't firmed it up yet as my car is coming back today!:j I hope we're pleased with the quality of repair. It's been almost 5 weeks that I've been driving the courtesy car so that will have to go back too.
So a bit up in the air today so I'll play it by ear.0 -
Maman - I ended up replacing my white units ......with white gloss! Its not a very big space or very light & I like white as it doesnt hide any drips lol.
Saving - as I'm tall I also go for high wall units. I've also gone for pull out drawer units instead of cupboards as now I'm getting older and a bit creaky I don't relish being on my hands and knees trying to get to the back of the cupboards
Have been paying attention to my hands and nails are looking much better - might even give them a splash of colour for the weekend.Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0
