MediumDino wrote: »Please could I join? I have never done this before. I don't have much debt, just a loan from family (no interest, very flexible about when to pay it back) of £3000, but I am more concerned about the fact that I have quite a good income but have no savings. I used to, but two international moves in a year and having to visit family in other countries regularly plus knowing that I am moving countries again this year (for the final time and to a place with easier access to most family) have put paid to that. On top of that every country works differently and I have had to get to know how different countries banks work. So I would like to build up savings again, in a savings account so that I don't fritter it away and to earn some interest.
So MediumDIno aiming for a round £10000. 1% is 100.

I'm now up to 6% of my debt repayment target. Feels like such a long way to go, but hopefully chipping away each day/week will help.

Number 37 checking in with 3%.
I visited my grandparents and my nan gave me £20 to get some dinner, I walked instead of taking the bus (2,50), bus instead of taxi (16,60), used my refillable water bottle instead of buying water in the airport (1), chose the cheaper of two options for food (3.40), read the local paper in the library instead of buying it (1.30), worked some overtime which made the biggest chunk and got lucky with buying a ticket when I checked it in the evening it was much more expensive than when I actually bought it!NST January Turtles number 250 -

#32 Checking In....
I have been struggling with understanding this challenge, so read through the site and gosh you are all a bunch of rock stars providing great help.
My Card is 0% and my target has been pay it off, pay it off, never thought about paying the extra into a savings account and earn money. Requires a shift in mindset so opened a 5% savings account and going to pay minimum off and extra into savings account (I think) :exclamati:embarasse
