  • I hemmed a length of voile to use as a scarf for a costume, but seeing as that was bought last week it's not being counted. Hopefully September will be a bit quieter so I can get some holiday clothes made

I'm not really about as I've not been doing much :( I have been mostly sewing in name labels to little man's nursery clothes, and being back at work! I will get these cushions done soon though, they've only been hanging around months! Then I want to make a pair of dungarees for the little man, and then do a load of Christmas stamping and embossing. I have a plan, just no time or energy!

I might get chance to have a go at things tomorrow, so I will see how I get on.

I’ve printed a pattern out at work to use up some birthday fabric. Yay. It was free to print as I did it at work. I don’t even feel bad. They get about an extra week out of me per month.

Nothing made but I have serious plans and intent for this weekend. Yay.

  • Made a couple more twiddle muff bodies yesterday, so that's used a bit more yarn up, not so's you'd notice though!

I’ve managed to sand one and a half of the three nested tables. And I’ve painted the legs of one of them. Yay. I still need to stain the top of it and the it may need a second coat. But I love the colour.

I appreciate it isn’t a finished object. But I’m please with the progress.

Great progress nimbo! Sounds like a good project :)
I have finally, finally made the cushion covers. It took all of an hour, don't know why I kept putting them off. Putting in the zips was more of a mental exercise than it ought to have been, but now I've done a couple, it makes more sense. As I was on a roll, I got started with the sensory quilt I bought remnants for many months ago, and I now have 3/5 of the rows stitched. I'm not doing anything fancy, just rectangle patches and then sewing some straight lines through the wadding but it'll be good for my first attempt at quilting. I've also washed a large piece of leftover remnant to make a pair of baby dungarees with. Need to make the most of my motivation!

  • Well done both of you, you've been busy.

I have been working on my postage stamp quilt over the weekend, and now have 20 blocks of 16 small squares sewn together. Can't decide whether to just see all these together, and try to match all the seams, or put sashing between each block.

Also made a morsbag this morning, so my total is now

I’ve rehung a mirror. And finished the first of the three tables. It was drying in my kitchen at bed time last night so tonight I can bring it through. I know I still have three to go but I’m so pleased. I need to fine more sanding sheets for my mouse. I know I’ve bought some just can’t find them...... moving hasn’t helped.

    The quilts are sounding awesome
