Probably not even that, mines rubbish anyway, hasn't worked from day one. It's just the way this woman was threatening me that's peed me off. I noticed though after saying I'll be taking this further she's nice as pie 'Yes, I totally understand' etc etc :rolleyes:0

I'm pretty sure you got to keep the box after the year.
I think these cheap boxes once returned will only be binned anyway!![STRIKE]30:22[/STRIKE]

I understood that you got to keep the box providing you qualified for the £50 M&S vouchers. (or continued to send data on a regular enough basis that was acceptable to Inview)
Basically you need to send 48 weeks worth of data in a 52 week period after the receipt of the unit for it to become yours pemanently.
After that, if you wanted to, you could continue for another £50's worth if you did the same again. (and again and again)
But once you had done it (if you did the 48 weeks and was rewarded with £50 M&S) for the first (or a subsequent) year - the box was yours to keep forever.
If you abandoned sending data each & every week then you should return the box and they would pass it on to a new member that they would "recruit" who would take your place.
Personally I've had no problems in contacting Inview and them dealing with any problems.
They have responded to emails immediately and answered the phone every time I have called - about 3 or 4 times in both instances.
These were all regarding a single problem that was dealt with over a 3 week period.
Basically having had no problems for 20 or 30 weeks in sending the text message, when I went into the box for the text string on this particular day the data was missing. Just BLANK!
I called them and the first thing they said was that I would be credited for that week's response (even though I didn't have one) towards the 48 total I was aiming for.
They asked me to power the unit off & on and continue as normal, and to contact them in a week if it happened again.
One week later - still no data.
Phoned again, immediate answer, did some checks and found out the firmware revision was rather lower than expected - in fact lower than the box was in theory supplied with.
Why it had been OK for 20 to 30 weeks and then failed to record data for 2 weeks who knows ?
No problem, another week credited to my total and a new box with the latest firmware despatched to my home immediately.
It arrived the following day as promised, swapped it and have continued to send data weekly ever since.
My year will be up shortly and I look forward to getting my £50 of M&S vouchers and will continue for another year - potentially again and again whilst ever they keep sending the M&S vouchers as a reward.
I mentioned what I was doing to my brother, about 4 months into my year, and he signed up as well and has had no problems at all.
In fact I'm slightly jealous, his STB has a Top-Up TV card slot in the front and we both have since had the opportunity to obtain one for free, an offer my brother took up.

I have also e-mailed them to clarify the position of returning their boxes.
I'll post the response I receive.[STRIKE]30:22[/STRIKE]

This is the response to my e-mail......
If you finish with the panel at the end of the year then you no longer wish to send texts on a regular basis and therefore you need to return the box. Your incentive is being placed in the a monthly prize draw and the £50.00 vouchers.
One can also find reference to the box to be returned on the instruction document, where it is clearly states
Please note: If you do not send texts on a regular basis we will require you to return the free view box"[STRIKE]30:22[/STRIKE]

you could ignore them - they do go away and use the stamped envelopes they send for something useful like sending a birthday present . . .0
