Congrats savvy! That's a major win for you. So glad you've got started on this, even if it's infuriating that it's down to you rather than your ex taking responsibility. Get rid of it, and you won't have the constant reminder of him taking up space in your home.
Thanks greenbee, yes a massive step in the right direction. Just got to get the rest of the shed part sorted asap, so I can get the car moved and the collapsing driveway looked at :(

At the back of my for mentioned Kitchen cupboard (Post #2431) I found a long forgotten Cafetière.

I put it to good use today & had some friends round for “posh” coffee.

One reward for decluttering is re-discovering long forgotten “treasures”

Did have some sunshine on Sunday but it was also very breezy. When I came out of MrA there was a mallard waiting to go in :rotfl: She seemed a little lost ;) but I had some swan & duck food so fed her ;) unfortunately the pigeons descended  so she didn’t get much :( DH watched his motorcycle races & I finally finished my paperwork. Now a sad tale :( a few weeks ago I got rid of 2 old roasting tins (Tip) as I had a brand new roasting tin (present from my DSis :T). I finally gave it it’s first outing & it is slightly too big for my oven :( Managed to get it in just but slightly sloping  Anyway the upshot is that it is now washed & in the CS bag  - just to rub salt in the wound the sticker is still on the underside of the tin  Dinner was delicious - roast beef with all the trimmings & DH made gravy from scratch.

1837 - 1842 Two drinks cans, empty beer can, magazine, 16 page booklet (read), basketful of recycling from DH - Recycled
1843 - 1844 Small bag of kitchen detritus, bag of rubbish from DH - Binned
1845 Pair of kitchen tongs (Broken) - Tip
1846 New roasting tin - CS bag

Well Done Wednesday2000 :T - an eclectic mix of decluttering :D

Good work Barny1979 & savvy :T Savvy - not sure I would have been so generous with my time - Black bin bags on the drive & if he didn’t pick them up they would have been left for the rubbish collection :rotfl: but then I am the one who sold most of the furniture & white goods from the house I shared with my ex-h for £100 - half each :rotfl: lots of my colleagues paid bargain basement prices :rotfl:

Oh I do love finding a lost treasure, onashoestring :T & it must have been so nice to have posh coffee with friends :D

See you tomorrow or should that be later today :rotfl:

  • A dress which seems to have changed size !!! and a cardigan which I love but never wear because it does not fit across boobs and I hate a cardi which just covers arms and sides of body. Have dragged 3 old dresses out of wardrobe with the aim of putting in bag but am wearing around the house instead as they fit and are easy to wash. Got rid of a couple more of the ornaments which has made me decide to take some of the others to the cs. " b'day gidts now taken by dgs'. one more to go next week then pressie for a friend to be wrapped ready and have bought a meal voucher so I can treat heim and myself to lunch before end of month as part of his b'day gift. Working on freezers and cupboards and gave big sc to cleaner for her bottom drawer, she actually paid a fiver for it , would have given more, but I only used a couple of times as I do not cook big joints or chickens now.

My house feels so much better with all the decluttering I did at the weekend. I moved my mini trampoline back upstairs and the living room feels much more spacious.

I noticed how good the light is in my kitchen so it's unconventional but I put my pared down makeup into a seagrass box and will do my makeup in there from now on.:)

I am getting some storage boxes delivered today and will tackle the rest of my husband's stuff. He doesn't have as much clutter as I thought he did but it will look better if it is all stored away properly.

Well Done Wednesday2000 :T - an eclectic mix of decluttering :D
