Hi every one - bit of excitement in my life as my boss took the team to a swish pub for evening meal after work to celebrate (what we were celebrating wasn't quite clear but I wasn't going to quibble)

didn't matter I was a bit late home as Monday's is OH out day at the moment

    steps - 1800
    veggie - no
    NSD - yes
weight - had fish pie and an ice cream+espresso so not too damaging

    save/make - no
clean/fix - rubbish and recyccling sorted+ dishwash put away
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine

veggie - yes, but vegan no (packed lunch was DS1's magic vegan stirfry in a wrap) but needed lots of coffee today and BCNS wasn't doing it for me
    NSD

save/make - more negotiations on DD2 landlord dispute - we might be going to court - I'm looking forward to do it

clean/fix - tonight is bins night - so glamorous

early report today, as I'm on the train back from London and have promised to put the laptop away when I get home - too much work makes me a dull boy apparently

steps - *drum roll* 10500 - walked from the station to the conference venue (2.5 miles) and walked half of the way back before I realised I needed a bus or I'd miss my train and have to wait an hour

veggie - now the *free* buffet at the conference was awesome, but temptingly carnivorous - the hotel was pretty posh, it had a very flash sports car abandoned outside with a ticket on it, like you or I would pay at the meter (s)he just pays the ticket

NSD - yes - didn't get my wallet out all day except for things I'll get back in due course

save make - does a goodie bag count with some gadgety tat - well I didn't think so either - so I blagged two - one for my "friend" who was unable to make it. so I get a free notebook and someone (TBD) gets a gadget

clean fix - well cleaned up at the buffet - but I will declare a "no progress" for today

  • haha...its good to put the laptop away every so often! Loving the updates. also like how each day seems to have a purpose and reading your updates it always feels like each day something has been achieved even if its just a LSD day or a cheap beer day ha.

Thanks Dan - most days have the sole purpose of getting to the end of it having made some progress (even if that progress is another day of no relapses)

    today steps 3000
    veggie - no burger
HSD - finally had to pay my share in advance for an evening out this weekend - its an annual thing like most of my social life

save/make - not me but DS1 sold his van to someone for well above the reserve I had placed in ebay - its complicated but they are both happy

clean/fix - dishwash and potter before I left

Hello happy weekend. Mine is going to be a bit spendy but will try to be good as most is already paid for.

Today Steps 1700 - but my strap broke again so was about double really
Veggie - yes apart from one piece of pepperoni that snuck onto my plate
    NSD - yay

    Save/make - did my expenses
Clean/fix - was going to do something but my elderly cat decided to be a lap cat for the evening, which is nice

Thank you Alicia it will be.

Seeing some old uni friends - I'm going to be corny, but for family and geography (and MSE) reasons we see each other once a year but its like we're just picking up from yesterday. Always great to catch up over a few beers.

Am going to try and get some steps in early today, because once we settle in later we won't be moving :-)

  • Enjoy your time with your friends. I too have friends who I don't see for years but settle into a groove with them within minutes. Precious and not corny at all.
