'lunch with the Colonel is never free'
Funny, and true, on so many levels. If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Thank you DIA. Kentucky fried squirrel would do you nicely - but maybe not in real life.
Today has been busy hence 2000 steps. I’m away again so pub burger for tea and I will claim a NSD although I did put a £1 in the charity box in exchange for a flapjack bar after my hotel breakfast this morning failed to hit the mark.
Looking forward to the weekend and I’m sad to say that I will be working a bit of it. I’m glad tonsay that next week sees me done with this dragon I have been slaying and able to take a few days offI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

nothing to add really, was guilty of buying a meal deal because I had a lie in and ended up dashing out the house without time for anything.

right just saying hello - just had a few days off recovering. Been LSD's so not worried about budget going awry, although I did have a few lines on the £169m Euromillions - but got diddly squat back
just catching up with numbers and will plan out how the rest of the year goes. My annual pilgrimage to Cornwall needs saving up for, and the car is at (2000 miles beyond) a major service plus needing a new tyres all round. That will take some doing, as the new year will see all car and house insurance due as well.
More positively, this month will see the balance of my CC exceeded by the balance of my regular savings, so will be pulling the trigger on that ASAP - although ASAP may have to wait until all 12 months have gone - will need to double check. Then it will be onto the car loan and seeing off the 0% balance I used to help DD1 with her car and DS1 with his Van. That's really next year's job, but if I can get it started that's not a bad thing - although as stated I have some spending commitments coming up over next few months
There is talk of some bonus at work this year - so that will help but won't believe it until I see it, but should cover the holidayI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
