  • 'it just tasted expensive' love it! You have previously had lots of NSD/MSDs so it's fine.
Yay for the 10 year old van getting through MOT. (It gives me hope for mine)

Thank you both. I do like a treat - but I like it to be better than dull

steps - 5600 - helped OH out with some community volunteering which involved a bit of walking around
    veggie - no
MSD - went for a drink after volunteering plus food for the weekend

save/make - doing my numbers today
clean/fixed - fixed a some stuff for the community but not at home
    actions 21-1-1

Drinking milk shakes, cold and long

so a nice weekend, mainly not doing very much, went for a drink yesterday and a coffee & cake today, but mainly just pottered and caught up on some telly/radio shows I missed mid week - a bit of a secret bake off fan.

Have one more busy week at work (mainly away) then can get back to being more locally based for the foreseeable future - which will be a big relief

however it has been very cheap and I am ahead of most of my budget categories following my monthly review - a little above target on some but mostly well under. also the kids are more settled so have had fewer demands from then and DD2 has been paying back.

however will wait until next weekend before doing the monthly reports as not all the numbers have landed yet

today steps 2200, not veggie, LSD

  • haha tasted expensive now that comment I love!. I must agree with others too, you work so hard on tracking and been focused on your goals everyday, the odd treat helps re-energise I would think. Last week we got a bit extra money and my head said pay debt (and I know I should have) however I decided we would use that to take little one to soft play after school (she has had a rough few days trying to adjust) and then we went to our favourite restraint for a meal. We haven't been out for food as a family for a while and it was nice to not worry we all ate well and had a few drinks. Whilst paying it to debt was probably the 'sensible' MSE thing to do I don't regret it

    Sounds like a nice weekend

steps: 7100 - had a visit to a town centre office, but usual parking was full so ended up a way away near a multi story

veggie - at the bottom of the car park was a KFC, my secret weakness so a couple of wraps for £2.98 and I was sorted for less (just) than most meal deals

LSD - lunch with the Colonel is never free

    save/make - not really
    clean/fix - nothing
    actions - 21-1-1 - no progress

already overdrawn for the month, but am waiting for DD2 to pay back some deposit, and am behind one (quite large) expenses bill which is mainly on my credit card, but there will be an excess that should get me back into the black, and then hopefully can keep the right side of the line
